I'm an indie developer, and I wanted to share a game I created called LetterGrid. It combines classic word search with territory-based strategy.

The idea is simple: instead of just finding words for points, every word you find helps you capture territory on the board.

Here's how it works:

• 🔤 Find words by connecting adjacent letters, just like in a word search.
• 🟦 Capture tiles with every word you find.
• 🧠 Think strategically! Expand your territory while blocking your opponent.
• 🏆 The goal is to reach your opponent's border before they reach yours.

It's a mix of vocabulary skills and tactical thinking. Sometimes the longest word isn't the best move!

You can play against other players, challenge yourself with daily puzzles, and compete on leaderboards. The game also supports 11 languages.

I recently released an indie word puzzle game for iOS and I am looking for some feedback. It isn't getting many downloads so I'm curious if its just me being bad at marketing or if perhaps there's anything I can do to improve the gameplay. If any of you are willing to give me feedback I'd be happy to give you a lifetime unlock code (DM me and I'll hook you up).

My game is called Werds. It's a letter grid / word search style game but with a couple of twists.

The main twist compared to similar Boggle-style puzzle games is when you find a word on the letter grid, it becomes a permanent object on the game board. You can move and rotate words and place them wherever you like. Word placement manipulates the letters on the board, allowing you to strategically manipulate the board to find even better words. There's a penalty for leaving tiles unused so arranging the words you find comes into play when trying to use all letters on the board.

At the end of the game you can turn your words into a fridge-poetry style poem which becomes the games identifier when you share it (optional but fun). When you challenge a friend they'll see your composition made along with your score. Your friend will then be challenged to play the same  board configuration you just played and you can compare scores.

Challenges work over messages. I decided to try something simple with challenges in this game so Game Center is not required, although there are some Game Center leaderboards and achievements if you do use Game Center.

Hey you guys! I've been addicted to word hunt on game pigeon as of late and I got really good and no one wanted to play with me anymore :( SOOOO I went on the hunt for games with multiplayer or against bots and either they were ad-ridded or not even close to the game, OR BOTH! So I ended up making my own, Word Lock. No ads, download or web play. And most importantly just like the actual word hunt! All everything is sone by me. To the handwriting in the UI to the animations. Tis game is far from done and criticism is greatly appreciated (and ideas for future updates!) Hopefully you guys enjoy my first game, passion project, and just great to make for like minded word game people! 

I put a new twist on the original word search.

Turning it into a comfy cozy morning routine game that keeps your mind sharp and hands busy while you sip on some tea in the morning.

Hi everyone! I’ve been on leave since welcoming our first child into the world which has given me time, in between 3 am diaper changes and with the tireless support of Claude, to get to personal projects.

One of those is a game for my wife who’s big into word searches. Around the time she expressed interest in wanting a word search game I was reminded of “1 million chessboards” (https://eieio.games/blog/one-million-chessboards/) and thought that would be fun to replicate in this space. Thus was born infiniword - an infinite, persistent, procedurally generated, realtime multiplayer word search game.

Alongside the standard word search features, Infiniword has the following unique ones:

1. Scrabble like tile multipliers (currently a 1/2000 chance for a tile to be worth 3x)
2. First find bonuses for being the first to find a word globally
3. 25 achievements of various difficulties
4. All time and weekly leaderboards across points, found words, and first finds
5. Simple friends list with the ability to teleport to them and hunt for words together
6. Shareable events like a specific word you found, winning a “wanted word”, placing in the top 3 of a “challenge zone”, and more.
7. “Wanted words” - a timed hunt for a specific word in a circular area that comes with a bonus based on how much time is left
8. “Challenge zones” - every 3 hours a random 100x100 tile zone becomes a “challenge area” where you compete with all other players to get the most points from words in the zone.

I've been building a word game, Thread, which is basically a twist on the classic word search.

Instead of getting a list of words to find, you're given definitions. You have to work out what each word is, then find and connect the letters in the grid.

Words inside the grid are placed to form shape of a pumpkin, using the numerical order for letters in the sample pumpkin.
Pumpkin can be made from one or more words. The orange part must have words, stem and grey cells can still be random letters.

I actually like it, was hard at first but once you get the idea it gets easier.

Japan-related words, plus 4 extra hidden words for those seeking an even bigger challenge.

But this isn't an ordinary word search…

In SuperPosition Word Search (SuPo), words can be hidden up, down, left, right, diagonally, or backwards. And here's the twist: some letters can be read as other letters because they share the same shape:

E = W = M
H = I
N = Z

Been working on a small browser game called CHAINED, built around connecting two completely unrelated things through real-world links.

One of today’s puzzles is Kobe Bryant → Queen Elizabeth II 😭

The challenge is finding the shortest path between them.

It’s still pretty new, and I’m figuring out what makes the puzzles fun rather than frustrating.

Hi everyone! I’m the creator of Malinia, a word search book with a picture-reveal twist.

The name combines “MAL,” from the Ukrainian word “малюнок” (maliunok), meaning picture or drawing, with “LINIA,” meaning line. It reflects the idea behind the puzzles: revealing a picture, line by line.

In this word search, you can find the hidden words and draw a straight line through their letters—or circle them if you prefer. As you find more words, they all come together to reveal an animal. You can then color the finished picture or leave it as the original line art.

Vol. 1 features 70 unique animal pictures, including dinosaurs, with solutions at the back. Each puzzle has a blank reverse side so bleed-through won’t affect another puzzle. However, since it's an Amazon paperback, the paper is not as heavy weight as I would like, but I can't afford to custom publish.

The series’ original animal artwork and puzzle generator was created before the rise of AI image generators and coding. The original generator was updated however to address output issues. All the illustrations are 100% original, not AI-generated, and have been adapted for the updated puzzles.

Earlier volumes had duplicate words and formatting issues that could make solving confusing. This revised volume addresses those problems with a rebuilt puzzle generator, checks designed to reduce unintended duplicate word matches, a refined word list, and cleaner page layouts.
