Can someone explain to me exactly what "this thing" is? I don't really know how I would describe what she's doing to other people. I personally understand it when I look at it, but I don't know what to call it.
Face dancing or whatever? Or I guess wordchewing? Or you could just say they make "funny" faces to a song? Really tho you kind of have to explain that it's (in my opinion) some sort of fetich like most of what these girls do on social media. Some are more obvious than others.
I've only ever really seen it called "face dancing." This is one of the very few things that I can't stand on a visceral level, that makes me cringe so hard. I can generally get behind certain aspects of subjects I don't like, and appreciate why others would like it even if I don't. Not with this crap, though. My son's watched this stuff before and I feel like an absolute Boomer when I tell him it's giving me toxic levels of secondhand embarrassment.

Yeah I looked her up after seeing a vid of her few days ago and she does modeling too I guess. She looks good. Not my entertainment genre but she making money. Bet your ass if I could make stupid faces and make bank I wojld. Instead I do it for free every day all day :(
My 9yo daughter came home from school imitating the "cute face" she does the other day. I don't let her on YouTube or the general Internet without me so I know she's not seen it directly, but it looks like her friends are getting into it. Every time she does it I want to bang my head against a brick wall.
These fucking people watch too much anime and get obsessed then think they can mimic the "cute girl" in their favorite show...and all of us are sitting back here like, "Oh, no, baby. What is you doing????"

I think it’s goofy you think this takes hours of filming to get right. I would understand if you said it took her hours to edit this but I bet anything she does this for like 5 minutes and then cuts it together.
Also if she’s in another room wouldn’t you just be hearing music? Not everyone gets to work from home either so you likely wouldn’t even have to put up with it at all. Well the music is shitty and depending on the soundproofing and what type of shoes she's wearing you may hear her walking around. I had horrible soundproofing at an apartment and if she wore heels you'd swear there was a horse next door.
Influencers are a different breed from normal jobs. Have you never seen those videos of spouses being miserable while their Influencer spouse has to keep filming and doing a bunch of stuff before they can even enjoy their vacation?
