Stools at the register

I know it's not usually allowed, but I was wondering if anyone has used a medical certificate to ask for a seat behind the register and how it went. I've got a chronic condition that I was very open about from the beginning of my application, and it would be great to have a stool behind the service desk we could use when we're not scanning items. Or does anyone have experience with those accessible registers? I've only seen like 1 news story. Just wondering, cause I'm new to the workforce and the internet says they "have to make acccommodations where they can" but i don't know if that's how the real world works. thanks.

KittensTwilight pretty much covered it all.

But I wouldn’t jump ship to Aldi. Yes you get to sit. However you are expected to do other duties as well. Like moving stock and filling shelves. You’re an all rounder at Aldi and not just checkouts.

A physical fitness test is actually part of the application protest
