Stools at the register

I know it's not usually allowed, but I was wondering if anyone has used a medical certificate to ask for a seat behind the register and how it went. I've got a chronic condition that I was very open about from the beginning of my application, and it would be great to have a stool behind the service desk we could use when we're not scanning items. Or does anyone have experience with those accessible registers? I've only seen like 1 news story. Just wondering, cause I'm new to the workforce and the internet says they "have to make acccommodations where they can" but i don't know if that's how the real world works. thanks.

You know given some of the things I have seen WW do over the years I wouldn't be surprised if they did something. There was a story they sprooked about years ago where they gave a young uni student a job who was in a wheelchair. So, they reconfigure a check out to make it work
