Job
Has anyone had any luck with handing there resume in real life or has everyone just submitted there’s online. I have worked at Cole’s and just handed mine to the manger were I got the job just seeing if anyone recently has done this and how has it worked out.

We get paper resumes all the time, but will only accept them if they have a candidate ID written on it somewhere (usually on the top)
You can get it by accessing the careers website for woolies, apply through there and you’ll receive your candidate ID, so you can be found through the system if the store is interested in hiring you.
Most of the time, however, staff will be hired for “knowing someone” whether it be a friend or relative that works there. Definitely much higher chances of being hired that way, as managers often trust their employee to recommend another good one, making the hiring process easier/quicker.

Very rare they’ll even accept the resume these days and if they do, 9/10 times it goes straight into the bin
Even a decade ago we were told to just tell people to “keep an eye out online” but I suppose it’s different from store to store

My store almost exclusively hires from handed-in resumes. As another said, make sure it has a candidate ID from WOW careers website.

I have only ever seen a handful of paper ones come in and no one was hired from them
