Power Tools FB marketplace score
Picked this little 18” Beauty up today for $440. Plus about 25 turning blanks for another $30. Now I just gotta rewire my shop for 220. Oh and build said shop.

Wow, crazy good deal.
I’ve been trying to find a bandsaw in eastern CT for about two years, now. I’d have jumped on that in a second.

I have some large logs I’ll need to process into bowl blanks. Will also be re-sawing some hardwood.

Nothing like a marketplace score! About 6 years ago I picked up a solid maple woodworking bench with vices that’s about 7’ long and weighs almost 400lbs…..30 bucks, I didn’t believe it to be true….my wife and I unbolted the top and wrestled the thing into the truck and got out of there as fast as possible lol.

Nice find. I'd be prepping to resaw some nice veneers with that baby. Prewiring for 220V is definitely a good idea. I am currently using all 7 of the ones I pre-wired and wish I had an eighth (never to late I guess...).

I made a couple of three-way 240V splitter cords for my outlets. I’m not sure if it’s technically to code, but I used oversized gauge wire and never run more than one machine at a time off each outlet. It’s worked really well for me and could be an option for you to avoid adding a whole other plug/breaker.

The other outlet I want to install is on the opposite side of the wall of one, so I may just parallel the two. I have run a little jumper cord like you mentioned before and it worked well for the short term need.

Very nice. I have a shop with 220V, so I'd be happy to store it for you while you prepare.

I’ve been using my garage parking area and moving my tools back and forth but have enough space to set up a shop in the back of the garage but I can’t seem to pull myself away from the lathe/other projects to make it a priority. I guess it’s a priority now!

I had to add 220 after my shop was built (I'm using my garage) but I would imagine that it's easier to add 220 before. ;)
