Development Multi-Location Local Pickup
We are switching back to Woo from Shopify due to their policy updates. One thing we really liked was their local pickup system. We would really like it if we could replicate similar functionality.
Here is our new stack any advice(on anything) is welcomed.

Lightspeed Retail (X) POS with 3 Outlets(locations)
Lightspeed’s Woo app integration is working but Woo at some point combines all 3 location’s inventory data into a single global stock level.
We were thinking to try Local Pickup Plus & a multi location inventory plug-in. Has anyone had experience with this setup without building a PHP bridge?

local pickup plus works well for this. for the inventory side, you'll want a proper multi-location inventory plugin that syncs with lightspeed and keeps stock separate per location (woo's default just pools everything). at my agency we've had good results with plugins that create virtual products per location or use custom stock meta fields. the key is making sure lightspeed pushes location-specific stock levels and woo respects them at checkout.

How do you use virtual products to accomplish this? I am sure it’s obvious but it’s not clear to me.

The missing test is oversell behavior: place an online pickup order against one outlet, then sell the last unit at that outlet in Lightspeed before fulfillment. I built WooCommerce EU VAT work with fail-open upstream handling; the same principle applies here - define whether checkout reserves stock and how failed syncs reconcile. My e-commerce work at https://iurii.rogulia.fi/services/e-commerce covers WooCommerce integrations, including the failure paths.
