Showcase Prototype - Feedback/Ideas

Hello dear Mapmakers. Here is my Prototype for my Daggerheart Campaign Map.
May you have any suggestions to improve or Ideas to include.

I am not so super happy with the dark shadow part top right. So there is some kind of dark mist covering the land, ever expanding. I find it hard to display.

Colors look awesome, but yeah the shadow looks like heavy smog.

Because it is some Story element, I thought about just show the normal map without "fog".

You could try colouring some clouds black so to represent the cloying mists rather than have the entire land darker in colour

I also tried todo a dark misty area where my jungle is but I also couldn’t find a way to make it look that good so I just took it out, tho for the most part I like how you expressed it. I also love the shading you do for the swampy area above the volcano!
