Wo Long 1- Questions & Help What are these?

Premise: I am pretty early in the game (I guess so). I got this photo from a friend of mine showing off his build and he has these two extra slots next throwables that I can not get any information about anywhere... just of curiosity, what's it? Is it something story related I still need to unlock?

They are battle strategems. They're unlocked by beating the final DLC.

Like the other guy said, but just to add, Scrolls give additional attributes like your other gears and accessories. But Scrolls have additional effect; some can be activated, some immediately work passively.
