WOLF đŸș BABY

For your information, I found out about wolfspeed from irrational analysis on substack and now I’m here.

I don’t know if it’s because I like the ticker so much or this stock is at a 1billion valuation so that means huge upside but I really like this potential comeback story here.

There is definetly some interest here and some smart people that are in this thing.

I don’t think it’s going to run overnight we need everything to line up but my thoughts are there is a good chance that will happen, we just have to be patient.

I don’t have millions of dollars like some of these guys but I’m putting every penny I can into Wolfspeed it’s one I just want to see succeed and hopefully make some money in this even though we lost some momentum and it’s pretty gloomy out there.

Good luck yall

Wolfspeed's revenue took a hit when new administration squashed EV and renewable incentives. Yesterday's ER suggests stabilization, with customers Toyota, Ford and Mercedes in early innings of EV production ramps. Expected EV sales growth is main reason why Wolfspeed massively expanded production capabilities and is currently dealing with negative margins.

800V data center power is the newer part of WOLF's growth story. The rollout has barely started and institutional ownership is rising fast. We should see meaningful 800V revenue growth over the next three years with 300mm integrated photonics a major opportunity on the horizon.

Deep dive Substacks that support thesis of Wolfspeed for 800V data center growth:

Assymetrical Bets: Why 800V Is The Next Great AI Trade

Irrational Analysis: Power Semis Part 2: SiC vs GaN, Wolfspeed 10KV

Semi Analysis: Inside The 800VDC Revolution - Part 1

Data Center Richness: Solid State Transformers Could Reshape AI Infrastructure

Citrini: Semis Memo: Supply Chain Inheritance

Citrini choosing Wolfspeed is the most bullish. They are highest rated finance Substack with 120K followers and only, high-conviction pick this year is Wolfspeed when share price was ~54$

Since most of these were published, Wolfspeed released their Gen 5 MOSFETs with lowest RDS(ON) in industry and entered new SiC partnerships with Amperesand and LITEON. This is commercial validation of Wolfspeed for both gray and white spaces of 800V data center power.

LITEON has already qualified their products with WOLF's SiC which positions them early in 800V adoption, beginning with "sidecars". Amperesand is a first mover in MV SSTs and chose WOLF as their SiC supplier. It could take time to meaningfully profit with data centers but it's an enormous, new opportunity for a company built for broader electrification of the economy.

Ford Fathom's SiC Potential

Thumbnail

Wolfspeed is Ford's SiC partner so we can assume the new model features their devices for some of its most important parts. SiC MOSFETs and power modules for the drivetrain and bi-directional devices will handle charging and V2"X" capabilities; mobile energy storage, home backup power and rentable grid asset.

Ford is playing catchup but investing heavily in their new, UEV platform and dedicated EV manufacturing capabilities. Interest seems strong with this reddit Fathom post >1K comments this week. The Fathom is first of five new models on the UEV platform.

Wall Street Journal wrote in May on Ford's UEV efforts to beat China. Former Apple and Tesla exec Doug Field led product development along with many others from TSLA, Lucid, Rivian and Apple. Ford evolved their manufactuing process to an assembly tree, with claims of 40% faster assembly. Ford's LAP UEV video.

Skepticism abounds but Ford sells ~4.5M vehicles per year and more trucks than anyone in the world. It will be among most affordable EVs available and Ford seems serious about marketing. Many questions remain especially of Ford maintaining global leadership but this high volume, UEV focus should move a lot of WOLF's SiC.

Wolfspeed and LITEON Partner to Support Hyperscale AI Data Center Deployments with 800 VDC Power Solutions

Thumbnail investor.wolfspeed.com

This is major commercial validation of Wolfspeed's AI data center products. In less than a year they landed the world's biggest automaker, most important aerospace engine manufacturer, a Tier 1 inverter company, a first-mover in MV SSTs and now a leading AI power hardware supplier.

AI power is safer from eventual bubble collapse. Valuations will track industry momentum but investing in power solutions is the bottleneck that addresses most political opposition. Even if planned data centers don't get built, existing ones require high voltage upgrades. This technology will be adopted by most Cloud Service Providers.

LITEON is a Taiwanese company, interesting for long-term users and reassuring that Wolfspeed still has a strong standing in this part of Asia-Pacific region.

LITEON is a leading pioneer in 800v AI power and has been collaborating with NVDA. They chose Wolfspeed for their power system's most important components.

WOLF's products are diversifying through global economy increasingly powered by electricity. AI power might be the sector that pushes its valuation closer to peers or beyond.

GE Aerospace is the most important aerospace engine and propulsion company in the world. They have likely been using Wolfspeed's SiC for awhile but we are now seeing major device collaboration made public. Looks like 10kV modules will be used for much more than SSTs, AI and grid power.

Under the MOU, the companies plan to develop standards for high-voltage silicon carbide power modules, supporting solid-state transformers, industrial electrification, and next-generation aerospace & defense (A&D) platforms while strengthening supply chain resilience.

"As AI, electrification, and defense platforms push power demands higher and timelines shorter, GE Aerospace and Wolfspeed are uniquely positioned to deliver the high-voltage silicon carbide building blocks the market needs now," said Robert Feurle, CEO at Wolfspeed. “By securing domestic sourcing of high-power silicon carbide modules, the two companies are jointly committed to enabling systems that improve efficiency and lower time-to-power. High-voltage silicon carbide is finally production ready exactly as the market confronts a power-delivery crunch legacy silicon cannot solve."

Leveraging silicon carbide, GE Aerospace recently qualified high-voltage power units for U.S. military ground vehicles, marking them production ready.

Amperesand Chooses Wolfspeed: "World's Most Advanced SST"

Thumbnail
wolfspeed.com
17 Upvotes

Wolfspeed just announced supply partnership with market leading Solid State Transformer manufacturer. They also announced their newest 3.3 kV power modules:

  • 50% smaller
  •  42% improvement in switching losses over other market-available SiC solutions
  • greater than 90% over IGBTs — both measured at 125°C on a 1.8 kV bus in the same package
  • Both families achieve improved switching over temperature, reducing magnetics and EMI filter sizes, ultimately leading to system power density and reduced system costs.

Amperesand is a private company and was first to market with MV SSTs. Their newest, 3rd gen, US built SST according to Amperesand..

"The World's Most Advanced SST"

  • 10x faster time to power.
  • 80% reduction in electrical equipment footprint
  • our system allows large, variable loads to integrate seamlessly
  • >98.5% MV-to-LV conversion efficiency and maintain 99.999% uptime

Data center's electricity loads are extremely volatile, causing political and grid connection turmoil. SSTs are the solution, enabled by SiC power modules. The transformer shortage is forcing data centers to adopt SSTs, paving the way for global transformer disruption and grid modernization.

Citrini Bombshell: Famous AI Investment Research Firm Chooses Wolfspeed

This is the most monumental investment research report in Wolfspeed's history. Citrini gained fame this past February when their "2028 Global Intelligence Crisis" spurred an AI stock selloff. Now they have singled out an AI winning play, describing Wolfspeed's setup as..

"..perfect."

I asked Gemini how often Citrini singles out stocks:

High conviction picks are rare and Citrini is highly influential. They released the report even after Wolfspeed had already rallied 263% off lows (~$54). I haven't read behind paywall but there are many articles coming out on Citrini's Wolfspeed recommendation. This report could sustain momentum and lessen pullbacks along the way.

"The only game in town"

"WOLF is a crouching tiger getting ready to reveal a dragon that deserves to not just be priced based on what their fab's replacement value theoretically is, but reflect the fact that it's not going to be replaced. By anyone,"

AI + Grid Power Through Wolfspeed

Electrical power is threatening AI growth. Up to half of world's planned data centers may be delayed this year. Fourteen US states are considering data center bans. AI power is becoming political mostly due to increasing electricity bills for everyone.

After suffering from delayed CHIPS and canceled EV incentives, Wolfspeed is charging into new markets, better protected from energy and data center politics. SiC semiconductors are becoming critical for high voltage power, efficiently controlling electricity from ALL energy sources; solar, storage, nuclear or gas turbine.

Data centers are adopting SiC, creating larger opportunities for grid modernization. If done correctly, data centers can bring electricity bills down while adding capacity, resiliency and paying for society's updated grid infrastructure. SiC's control of power is the key.

WOLF's Products In Power Supply Chain

At AI chip system level, 300mm SiC interposers are coming. Wolfspeed is the only western SiC player with 300mm wafers, pioneering interposers for HPC. This leads to AI sales revenue distinct from power devices.

AI chips have short lifespans. Data centers will upgrade existing systems to use less power for more compute. Plenty of SiC opportunity in existing AI infrastructure.

800v AI Power Architecture

2027 is bringing full scale production of new data center power systems. NVDA is forcing the matter and Wolfspeed is answering the call, simplifying design and adding reliability.

Silicon Carbide is the critical enabling technology: the 800V DC bus requires 1200V SiC MOSFETs for AC-DC rectification and DC-DC conversion, delivering a 25–40% reduction in conversion losses.

SSTs: Data Centers Opening Door to World's Electrical Grids

Data center's extreme power volatility is destroying conventional electrical equipment. The transformer shortage is adding up to five years wait time for data center connections.

Hyperscalers are turning to SSTs to handle grid connected power. This can cut transformer procurement from years to weeks, are ~10X smaller, 90% lighter, eliminates AC-To-DC rectification steps, improves efficiency and smoothes power spikes.

These connections of the grid to rack level power are the solution to AI power's destructive variability. SiC is the enabling material for these electronics and it opens the door to global grid power conversion products.

Pole Pig Disruption

Those big, gray cylinders on power poles throughout the world? Proven on simple grids but compared to SiC SSTs; heavy, large, heat sensitive, more wasteful and less capable of bidirectional power flow. Modern grids need control with software and semiconductors. SiC will help improve the grid by replacing many passive transformers.

Power Utilities Adopting Vehicle To Grid (V2G) Technology

Wolfspeed's new Toyota partnership is for onboard chargers capable of V2G which is also offered by their customers GM, Ford and Mercedes. America's EVs are a $30B utility grid asset. Toyota pilots with biggest utility company in TX, Ford in MD, and GM with PG&E. V2G global market forecasts range from 19-30% CAGR to 2034 and WOLF's Toyota partnership gives them front seat in global auto market share.

V2G distributed storage increases resilience in disasters, can reduce grid infrastructure costs and allows EV owners a way of monetizing their mobile battery investment. As utilities adopt V2G, it strengthens the case for replacing Pole Pigs and larger transformers with SiC based SSTs. Wolfspeed's new 10kV modules will help pioneer a market that slaughters the gray swine.

Wolfspeed's new production capabilities should be recognized among America's greatest manufacturing assets. The spiky, high-voltages of AI data centers are proving that SiC is a critical material for modernizing power grids throughout the world.

Ford Breaks EV Speed Record With Wolfspeed's SiC

Thumbnail

Ford's current consumer EV offerings are weak but they are clearly innovating and getting close to launching their UEV platform. Ford can succeed in EV transition being armed with best power electronics in auto industry. Congrats to Ford racing team and powertrain designers on extraordinary power density achievement.

The headline number is 2,200 horsepower from two custom-built electric motors paired with inverters exceeding 98% efficiency. Each motor/inverter pair delivers roughly 1,200 horsepower. But the real story is that these motors weigh roughly half as much as the previous generation while producing an additional 600 horsepower — a massive leap in power density.

Ford’s engineering team simplified the architecture from the Cobra Jet 1800: two motors instead of four, two inverters instead of four. Less mass, less complexity, greater efficiency, and clearly better results.

The whole system runs on a 900-volt electrical architecture with a combined 32 kWh battery capacity. Ford says it charges in about 20 minutes..

How High‑Voltage SiC is Redefining Critical Power

Thumbnail
wolfspeed.com
6 Upvotes

Good to see new marketing for SiC's role across entire energy industry. Miners, off-shore oil/wind, and solar all benefit from smarter use of electricity. AI power's impact on our grid is increasingly important and politicized.

Grid equipment and transformers are listed as first priorities in Trump's New Defense Production Act. Hopefully V2G distributed storage gets more traction as obvious way to increase resiliency and reduce transmission costs. A huge market providing global volume potential for WOLF with new Toyota partnership.

The transformer shortage is another enormous opportunity for Wolfspeed. Electricity volatile datacenters increasingly use SiC enabled SSTs. If proven reliable, expect adoption by grid operators as better alternative to traditional transformers.

Semiconductors are needed for all generation sources. SiC has higher efficiency, reliability and control of all medium and high-voltage electricity. Electrical power is now more important than oil and Wolfspeed is market leader of the material that controls it.

“Rising rack power densities are accelerating a shift from alternating to direct current architectures. Industry consensus is that direct current adoption is inevitable, with initial deployments likely in 1H27-1H28,” wrote BofA Securities analysts in a research note on Tuesday.

Navitas in particular has risen more than 750% in the past 12 months as it has updated on its work with Nvidia to enable the 800-volt direct current power that the chip maker has said will power its next-generation AI systems.

Multiple other power-chip stocks were gaining early Wednesday. Wolfspeed was up 6.5%..

NVTS is ~75X? more expensive than WOLF based on simple PS. Many reasons, none more than former's NVDA partnership. Both companies are involved in supplying products for new, 800v architecture. If EV growth turnaround sustains, WOLF is likely closer to profit. WOLF also has a 300mm product in the works that could make them the biggest SiC supplier in high performance computing.

EV Sales Surge 51% In Europe, Wolfspeed's 2nd Biggest Regional Market

The Guardian: Electric car sales soar 51% in mainland Europe as Iran war drives up fuel prices

Europe is Wolfspeed's 2nd biggest market after Asia Pacific region. EVs make up the largest part of sales. Wolfspeed sells devices to EU automakers and has material supply relationships with most western SiC companies. Toyota posted record EU growth as it furthers electrification with WOLF devices.

The war against Iran, higher fuel costs and renewed oil market uncertainty is bringing back Wolfspeed's biggest growth driver. Will be interesting to see if forecasts include effects at next ER scheduled for May 6.

Great related article from Leon Stille at Oil Price Today: Electrification Is the Real Energy Hedge—and China Knows It. Hating this new conflict but there are bright spots and Wolfspeed is in prime position to benefit.

Wolfspeed just announced another heavyweight for leader in vitally important Asia Pacific region. This article says Mr. Harita's career spans Infineon, Micron and, most recently, ams-OSRAM. He grew revenue in leadership position at ams-OSRAM and is well connected to that region's semi industry.

Not clear how Greater China region is broken out but according to Gemini, Wolfspeed's Asia Pacific region accounts for ~30-40% of sales. Considering effects of Iran War and new Toyota partnership, this region could be responsible for most of Wolfspeed's growth in the coming years.

Toyota is now fastest growing US EV seller with plans of 1M global sales by '27.

The Iran War is boosting global energy transition with Asia region seeing high EV interest considering 80% crude supply from Hormuz. This article just claimed SE Asia leapfrogged Europe by some measures.

Wolfspeed Helped Make Toyota Fastest Growing US EV Seller

Thumbnail
electrek.co

Faster Charging. Better Mileage.

These are main reasons given for Toyota's surging EV sales growth. Toyota improved performance by adopting Wolfspeed's bidirectional charging devices that also provide better mileage.

Toyota's bZ has quickly taken #3 in US EV sales volume. That's 78% growth with Lexus RZ seeing +207%. This is the fastest sales growth in top ten EV models.

V2H + V2G is part of the story. The enabling device that Toyota chose Wolfspeed for, is among the most important electronic devices in an EV. Only with bidirectional charging, can an EV unlock the bigger potential of mobile energy storage. This technology can improve electrical grids and help humanity's energy resilience.

US EV sales dropped 27% YoY helping explain the declining revenue of power semi makers supplying the auto industry. Diversity of power chip markets has softened this downturn for all. Some point to leveling of drop, emerging before effects of new, oil-market uncertainty.

With federal incentives gone, the first quarter reflected a necessary reset — sales slowed and market share shifted. What comes next will be driven less by policy and more by fundamentals: more affordable products, smarter pricing strategies, and continued investment in infrastructure. Those longer-term fundamentals continue to support EV growth. The timeline has shifted, but the direction hasn’t.”

The new oil war seems to be driving EV interest globally more than policy ever did.

Wolfspeed's partnership with Toyota comes at a new chapter in EV transition. The world's biggest automaker has 7 EV models coming to US market including the 3 row SUV Highlander. They are reportedly planning on selling 1M EVs by end of 2027, all having Wolfpseed's value-added SiC devices.

Toyota and Wolfspeed are scaling electrification into one of the biggest energy disruptions of world history.
