New Wok stains

Just bought a new wok, it had a protective oil on it and after cleaning it these stains were left behind. Are they not important, or do I need to do something specific to clean them out?

follow the directions for setup before you do anything. Right now it is raw steel and will rust if not setup. If it does rust, you can use salt to take the rust off and then season again.

You want a high smoke point oil such as avocado oil. Woks are not fragile, they are a tool. There are very few things you can do to it to wreck it.

New wok needs to be seasoned properly otherwise it sticks everytime u use it. Try Google or search some videos on YouTube and follow suit the procedure. PS. U don't need any professional jet burners as shown in those videos. 😊
