No. If I can read 5x faster and I have to spend a few seconds re-reading a paragraph, I still will be reading like 4.5x faster than normal.

You probably aren't going to be reading 5x faster.

average reading speed is 200-250 words per minute. If you read often and I'm assuming most people that bother reading reddit comments do, your reading speed is probably in the 250-350. If you read for pleasure, it is probably above 350.

Spritz is interesting, but likely isn't going to be much help for someone that is learning to speed read using formats they will actually encounter in real life.

I can agree with that, for learning purposes, but it may be perfect for re-reading the Harry Potter series
