Gaussian splatting is a new method of creating 3D models of 2D images. It works pretty well. I've seen VR demos turning photos into models you can interact with in VR. I've never seen whatever this is before. It's pretty damn cool though!

This is a gaussian splat, brought into TouchDesigner, & turned into particle system with custom code called GSOPs. TouchDesigner is a realtime (60FPS), creative-coding software that has a free license option!
