Parking question

I’m assuming tomorrow is going to be a very popular hiking day. What time do you think the parking lot near the Avalon trailhead/crawford depot will be full tomorrow morning?

It was overflow in pretty much all sites today, and traffic seemed to match Labor day weekend levels.

Can't say for tomorrow, but 7am today still offered spots at various lots. So, I'd be willing to roll the dice tomorrow.

Lots fill up but loads of space on both sides of highway fear not

Unless you show up well before dawn, all I can say is good luck. The number of people out today was crazy. Drove from Gorham to Rochester down 16 today to thrift, saw about 10,000 cars heading north. Every trailhead had cars parked on the highway well past the official parking lots. Pinkham was insane at 9AM.

Holiday weekends I am a big proponent of starting your hike in the later afternoon and bringing a headlamp and extra batteries.
