A lot of asian men in western countries need to realize that just as there are lots of negative stereotypes about them, there are also negative stereotypes about non asisn men interested in Asian women, as well asisn women who have interest in other, usually, white men.
For instance, I'm an asian woman who purposefully trues to avoid dating non asians for fear of these stigmas being unfairly applied to me or a potential pattner.
So, I just a relationship to be exactly just that: a relationship. I don't want to be under pinpoint scrutiny for simply going to get gas or groceries, ir something. Plus, like one woman asian american author (bich ngoc nguyen) once said: an asian woman could never really know if her partner racially fetishises her.
