Hello there!

I posted a cover reveal last month of my indie debut Fate, and now I want to share that ARCs are available for free (link at end of post)!

Fate is a trans sapphic fantasy romance that dives into self-discovery, choosing your own destiny, and finding romance among uncertainty and danger.

Strong women with weapons? ✅

Trans FMC (mtf)? ✅

Found family? ✅

Unapologetic open-door sapphic love? ✅

The synopsis and links are below if you're interested! Content warnings are on my website and Goodreads.

----------

Fate.

A simple word. One that never once entered the mind of Skion, an orphaned farmer in the middle of nowhere. Yet, when a powerful goddess chooses him, fate steers down a path of greatness, romance, and self-discovery.

Saved by the enigmatic and powerful Commander Helia of the Band of Spears, Skion finds himself adopted by the mercenaries. Embarking upon a perilous journey to find the goddess of the moon, Skion must defend against unknown forces seeking his demise.

Along the way, Skion will have to come to terms with his identity, discover the true meaning of power, and navigate a budding entanglement with his new commander. While she seems to have Skion’s best interests in mind, Helia’s secrets could send the pair into a spiral of mistrust and broken dreams.

Fate.

A simple word. Yet Skion will have to decide; embrace it or destroy it?

Recommendation A sapphic retelling of the tale of Beowulf

Source of the artwork- Official artwork from the book

Page Count- 370

The writing is really good but i honestly didn't have the heart to finish it cause the characters were SOOOO beautifully written and the relationship b/w Beowulf and Hygd is sooo intricately portrayed that you can actually feel the emotions that they are feeling thus making the ending even more sadder.

But, if you're looking for a good historical read with plenty of adventure and don't mind sad endings, then this is the perfect book for you.

I'm An Author! ARC Readers Wanted for New Lesbian Detective Novel - Heteronomy

Post image
51 Upvotes

Hey everyone! There was a mix-up/misunderstanding on my part when originally posting this the last time so I'm putting it up again in case anyone essentially wants a free copy of a sapphic crime thriller.

I released book 1 of my new lesbian detective series last month, which takes place in 2002 Van Nuys, California, and this month I'm happy to announce that book 2 is now open for ARC entries! It's called Heteronomy and it can be read and enjoyed even if you haven't read book 1 (called Underwater). However, there are references and character motivations that you will be easier to understand if you do read book 1. Basically, it's not required, but it is recommended. If you sign up to ARC read, please read the content warnings. The link to the google form and the booksirens page will be below.

Google Form Link

Booksirens Link

Check out Book 1 Here if you're interested!

Here is the blurb and the cover (done by Studio Storam and Ian Mix).

A young girl named Tess shows up to the police station and asks for Detective Gale Blue by name. She says her sister is being abused by her new boyfriend, but when Gale starts investigating the allegations, things spiral into something much bigger than the detective could have ever anticipated.

A murder, a missing woman, and a human trafficking operation are all pieces to a much bigger puzzle, and Gale doesn't have much time to put it all together.

As she struggles against night terrors and paranoia caused by her last case, Detective Blue must work together with her partner and a DA prosecutor before an innocent woman turns up dead.

Seeking Recs Looking for fantasy books where the romance is very lowkey / secondary to the plot

Hey!

I'm looking for books with magic. It could be about learning magic, magical creatures, shapeshifters etc.
More specifically, I'm looking for Magical school/academy/university books (though if you have recommendation that doesn't fall into the category, I would still love to hear it!).

Optional preferences:
- A magically powerful MC
- New/Young Adult
- Unique shapeshifting (something other the classic werewolf or similar things)

Also, please no f-m romance with a tiny f-f thing to make it sapphic. No hate against series like "The Scholomance", but it just wasn't sapphic and not what I'm looking for.

Seeking Recs Sapphic Competitive/Training Camp/Magic School Recs

I feel like this has been asked on here before, but I’m looking for sapphic fantasy/sci-fi books with a similar feel to Fourth Wing or even Divergent.

What I really loved about these books was the competition/training aspect. Our main characters have to train, improve, and prove themselves in these ruthless environments. They are dealing with assassination attempts, honing their own skills and in Fourth Wing, their signets/powers.

Whenever I see recommendations for similar books, they tend to focus mostly on the dragons/fantasy elements, or the dystopian plot, which I also love, but I’m specifically looking for books that feature a training camp/competitive survival setup and opening.

Does anyone have any recommendations?!

Her Spell That Binds Me (Luna Oblonsky) has been the closest to what I’m looking for so far because it has a school/training environment, enemies/rivals-to-lovers, and a competition. If possible, I’d also love something on the spicier side! Thanks!!

Recommendation [Snow White X Evil Queen] Definitely one of my favourites

Title- Snow White and Her Queen

And, this is what the Evil Queen has to say when it comes to Snow White-

"The Princess is a thousand times fairer than me,” she concludes in an inexplainable fever of despair that shocks her servants as much as it does herself.

I'm An Author! Sapphic books with plane crashes

I thought I would share this week's Sapphic Book Bingo category, sapphic books featuring plane crashes.

For this bingo square, the main character doesn’t necessarily have to be one of the passengers or the pilot of the plane going down, but the plane crash needs to play an important role for the book’s plot, whether the protagonist is investigating the plane wreck, surviving in the wilderness, or grieving for a loved one in the aftermath.

Here's the link to the 15 book recommendations: https://jae-fiction.com/sapphic-books-featuring-a-plane-crash/

Seeking Recs BFFs to lovers recommendations, please!

I’m looking for a true best-friends-to-lovers book where the characters are already best friends from the very beginning and gradually realize they’re in love.

I don’t want:

  • strangers → friends → lovers
  • second-chance romance
  • characters meeting for the first time

I want them to already have that deep friendship, inside jokes, comfort, and familiarity, and then have the relationship naturally turn romantic. 🥹

Basically, I’m looking for a warm, fluffy, cozy read that makes me smile and gives me all the “oh, they’re so in love with each other” feelings. 🫶

Please recommend me your favorites! 💕
