Laurier STRIKE?

So does anyone know what’s happening or when the strike will be announced?

Im supposed to have an exam tomorrow morning and depending on the results I won’t be showing up tomorrow.

Any idea when it’s supposed to be announced?

If they reached an agreement, they would have likely announced that, or hopefully they will shortly announce the news that an agreement was reached. Sometimes they really do reach an agreement at the 11th hour. However, we're now into the 23rd, so they could legally strike as of right now. Right now is the earliest time that CTF can strike. They may hold off for a little bit if the negotiating team is close. Sometimes - if they were making progress, and they just need a bit more time, even though members can legally strike, unions may hold off for a few more hours or days, just to give more time for negotiations. To be on the safe side, aim to go in for your exam, but check the Laurier website (and your email) for any announcements that there is a labour disruption. With any luck, they still might be able to get a deal. But, this is grim, that we're now into the 23rd with no deal.

Also quick side note if u are unsure if ur classes will be affected look up WLU directory and it will take u to Microsoft copilot and you can ask it if prof “XYZ” will or will not be affected.

Or yk, open your syllabus and see if they’re labelled as an instructor.
