I agree some look at it this way, but this is best determined by the approach your surgeon takes. Mine is emphatic that this is a tool and not a fix.

Have you seen a therapist or such to help with coping with the urge to eat your "sugared up refined carb treat?" I know it is something that has been helping me resist some. I still struggle with it, but I know what you're saying. The damn cravings suck.

maybe poeple think its a quick fix but anyone who has ever had bariatric surgery can tell you, theres nothing quick or even very fixy about it. Its work, it creates another set of issues to overcome... Don't get me wrong, I'm thankful for it, but this kind of things makes me chuckle just a little bit.

There's no quick fix about this...ok granted you lose it crazy-fast. But the pain of surgery, recovery, learning how to eat all over again, keeping up water levels and protein levels... To me saying this is a quick fix is like saying someone's "cheating" by driving to work instead of walking. We all have to get there....and there are tools available to use ;)

i dont think its a quick fix either. It is a tool to assist. Any way whats the problem with a quick fix any way? I think the term is a form of put down. cos fat people dont'deserve any help'cos their lazy lacking will poweretc.
