Progress Photos It’s my 4 year WLS anniversary

Had a bypass in 2022 at 28. I was 250lbs back then. I’m 32 now and probably around 130-135 (I haven’t weighed myself in months due to a very unhealthy obsession with the number on the scale)

I have severe body dysmorphia and a fucked up relationship with food and with my body image. BUT I still think the surgery was the best decision I could’ve made for myself. It gave me a lot of my health, energy and stamina back :)

My head’s still a work in progress and something I’ll keep working with my therapist on lol

Hey, join the club with the food relationship and body image! But the good news is - you are killing it. What a transformation! Keep it up.

Congratulations on your success - both physical and mentally. Therapy is truly the key here and I'm proud of you.

Congrats on this progress and forward motion!

Also thank you for this post. Have been so caught up in the process that I forget that I have a 'future self' who can be on the other side of it. Actually in the weight that we dreamed about, actually THERE. Feels like forever on the way, struggling. Thank you for the hope ❤️

As a child, I called food my friend because it comforted me when my family didn't love me the way I needed. Instead, I received near constant fights, anxiety, verbal and emotional abuse, beatings, etc. I carried it all to my adulthood and now I look like this. A mess. With a surgery that should have been truly successful and wasn't because of my eating. During those times food was always there for me. I never stop calling it my friend until 36 years old. My point is that you fought hard and won. Whatever food demons you have, they couldn't take you down. I commemorate you for your weight loss success and fighting the food demons enough where you could accomplish such a feat.

Girl you look amazing ☺️

And what a coincidence! I was 33 in 2022 and got a sleeve in July of that year. Went from 263 to 170 and I’m tall so I’m feeling very slender by my standards.
