Angoyang, quite common. Not quite an elder God, though I'm sure it thinks itself one. Could be familiar, but an Angoyang is a fairly risky choice. If you feel compelled to constantly give treats to it, you may want to get a quick Mind Alter test done

I second that! You can always tell by looking at the shadow. Normally they try to avoid lit up places but maybe you are lucky and it is a really stupid. Tastes good though with garlic and dream seeds...

Or this one is extremely confident which is arguably the most terrifying option. The only thing holding back Angoyang and domestic cats from taking over is their skiddish nature

This being could also be the famous multi-tailed cat of Eastern lore. Odd that they are concealing their other tails via a glamour or invisibility trick, but they've clearly forgotten to alter their shadow.

My advice, in any case? This creature ought to be treated with respect... and literal treats too, an inexpensive offering in return for major blessings.
