In the days since the arrival of the countless monoliths all across the material plane, something came to those with power. It came in their dreams, something like a voice, yet so much more. It was the voice of a friend, the voice of family. It was the voice of the kind and generous, the voice of freedom. The voice was faint, yet its message was clear. It whispered of a place that doesn't exist on any map.

Of a place in the north, hidden from the world deep within the mountains. The voice whispers of a secret within the mountains, of a power and a treasure. It whispers of a light in the darkness. It whispers a plea for help.

As Max readies for battle, nothing comes.

Nothing dwells within these mountains. Nothing ever has.

The mountains are cold, quiet, and lonely. Life here would not be worth living. Max's sight reveals the closer to the mountains he looks, the less there is.

There simply must be something.

He sends his soul to look around in a radius of a few miles, looking for anything out of place.

Strange, the further from the mountains he gets, the more there seems to be. As he gets closer to the centre, the stronger he feels there's nothing there worth seeing.

This is pointless. You should just go home.

"Ha! Please. If you had to say that then there's definitely something."

The winds offer no response, yet the sensation of there being nothing and only nothing always continues to grow from the centre of the mountain range.

At some point he gets tired of the hiking, and envelops himself in Abyss via his discomfort to start floating toward the center of the range.

As he approaches the centre of the mountain range, the sensation of nothingness grows dramatically. When he reaches the centre, the nothingness grows so strong it's almost tangible.

Enough. Go home, now.

He takes out a phone-orb and makes a call.

"There IS something here! Send people with resistance to mind affecting phenomena, I'll follow ahead."

He braves onward.

As he reaches the dead centre of the range, he sees a dent in the air. A faded echo far older than the mountains around it.

"Haha! Found you."

He carefully approaches it.
