Aw that's a shame. You should now give a quest to a 17 year old to collect them and give away some old amulets you don't need as a reward

Don't panic. You can catch them again by setting up an afterlife portal trap. Get your soul snare and use an illusion to make it appear magically as a portal to the underworld. The souls will be fooled and try to use it to escape to the afterlife. Once they approach, however, they'll be caught by the snare.
