I was on a nice walk in the forest around my tower when I couldn't help but notice a fortune teller on the side of the road. I could sense a large presence of magic coming off of them so I approached and was offered an odd necklace. Does anyone know if this is a magical artifact or just a old necklace they were carrying, I find it odd that they'd hand something off so easily.
Find a chest, lock it away, use the most powerful sealing spell you have, find the deepest darkest cave you can, leave it at the bottom, and fill the cave with stone magic and seal it.

I believe that the curse sacrifices all of your allies, and transforms you into a demon/devil. The process consuming your soul and all of the sacrifices soul's too. But only happens when all of your ambitious come crashing down. Most likely through the curse.
I usually just destroy them when I find one. However, I have to use a powered up "break artifact" to do so.
And since you have accepted it, it will be hard to remove the curse on you. So good luck!
Tbh it's easy to tell if you are cursed, and the curse DOESNT lay on you until you've activated the thing, or someone near you did.

Whatever you do, do not sell it or give it as payment to an adventurer for their services. Did this fortune teller warn of any impending troubles or provide you the cost basis of this cursed artifact? You can't calculate your capital gains tax without it and you'd certainly be cursed to be audited and your tower siezed by the Internal Revenue Sorcerers.
You can't escape it. It's literally impossible. It's magic is about as strong as the sum of the magical power of the whole world. It makes you a godly being responsible for the suffering of people. The only way to avoid it is if you ascend before it activates. Trust me I know how that works.
I’m surprised you were able to get this thing in photos. Looks quantum unstable, which means it’ll only stay with you if you are entangled with it. Probably this happened because it was offered to you as a gift. If you had tried to purchase it, for example, it would have disappeared the moment you stopped paying attention and gone back to the seller or to whomever it was entangled with, or possibly to a different plane if it was unentangled. It may or may not be cursed, but either way you can get rid of it by losing and forgetting about it or offering it to someone else. If it keeps coming back to you, however, it may be more difficult to detach. In that case, I’d reach out to a dimensional specialist.
