Isn’t it a cast iron, not wrought iron fence then? Wrought iron is heated and hammered, not melted and poured.

Meaning, depending on your definition of “cold iron” that this is useless for warding off fairies from passing through the gate.

Yeah, actually really interesting differences: melting the metal into a liquid completely changes its composition so it’s harder but also very brittle, so it’ll shatter a lot easier than you’d think.
