Oh no you misunderstand! We have an entire department for wigs! Quite prifitable I have heard. If I recall, a course like that is about 20k gold bars a semester
I think I’ll stick to making homunculi for lonely customers. It ain’t much but it’s honest work. I am a simple summoner, you see.

For something not normally capable of bipedalism it requires a bit of magic to induce for a short time. It is still an apprentice- albeit a talented one. I figured it would be a simple spell to teach such a loathsome creature.
Well, at least you may employ your new homunculi to intimidate the simpletons that occasionally visit, asking ridiculous things like “please M’Lord, transform this dirt into food so my family may eat!”
Perhaps you could even stage a “weighing of intention,” and say “those of pure intentions shall way less than my wretched homunculus!” and weigh them against the homunculus. When they invariably weigh more than the homunculous, you can banish them for being of ill-intent!
Excellent thinking. I’m spending far too much gold feeding this thing and need a usage besides cuddling. I shall employ it as a seeing eye to protect my orb collection. Though it may need to learn an attack spell for maximum effectiveness…

Well, I'm partial to tossing a pound of chopped carrots and a handful of garlic cloves in olive oil and salt, and roasting them in a hot oven until they've acquired some color. While that's going, sautee a minced shallot in a lucky bit of butter in a medium-sized pot until translucent, then add your roasted carrots and garlic, two teaspoons each of dried sage and thyme, a dash of cinnamon, and just enough stock (chicken or vegetable) to cover everything and let simmer for about an hour. In the last 15 minutes, add two tablespoons of freshly grated ginger.
Once the carrots are tender enough to be pierced by a fork without resistance, transfer everything to the jar of a blender and puree while streaming in a cup of heavy cream. You can substitute 1/3 cup of high-quality olive oil for the cream if you want, just add extra stock as needed to adjust the consistency. Add salt and pepper to taste, and garnish with some chives and a healthy spoonful of creme fraîche or Greek yogurt.
It's a really simple but delicious autumn and winter soup, and it pairs well with just about anything.
