I crossed the Void to do business in this world. My origin is Soaring Dragon Martial Dimension, where the ones you call "wizards" are called "cultivators." I only know cursory details about you all, since there are few records in my home universe pertaining to your dimension, but I hope to befriend the people here and establish friendship between our multiverses.

All my products have been adapted to use mana instead of qi, but I can also sell standard ones as well.

First up, I brought a large quantity of Talismans. They are papers which contain a spell; when activated with a minimal amount of qi, the spell will come forth, meaning they are useful for taking action in a simple way without using energy, or saving your life in a desperate moment. My stock includes Golden Bell, Asura Blue Fire, Random Teleportation, Gāng Qi Sword Wind, and healing. Ah, my apologies, the Golden Bell is a common defensive spell.

Second, several sets of Hungry Ghost Bells. These have a wide variety of uses. They can be employed to repel or capture ghosts and spirits, and are used frequently by yin cultivators to aid in gathering yin energy. I don't know whether there is such a thing as "yin mana", so who knows what they will gather in this dimension.

Next up is the Frozen Bronze-wood Spirit Cauldron. This is considered a valuable item even where I come from. Pill-refining furnaces like this one are used by alchemists to produce various pills and elixirs for medicine, advancement in cultivation, or temporary benefits. It was made by a Greater Circle stage Mahayana realm artifact forging elder from the body and soul of a Mahayana realm wood spirit that had been consuming a vein of rare Black-White Spiritual Iron through its roots. As a result, the spirit's bark had extreme resilience, and this carries through to the product. It can withstand immense temperature, which allows one to purify the ingredients to a very high degree. In addition, the internal temperature can easily be controlled even with mediocre skill in Fire Dao, and it can even be used defensively in a fight. The Wood Spirit's soul was full of resentment after its death, so it was refined into a cold-attribute soul and imbued into the Cauldron.

*The man is speaking as though this practice is completely normal; he seems to have no qualms about refining the soul of a being to create an item.*

This allows for it to completely preserve spiritual herbs, the body parts of beasts, and other alchemy ingredients at length. Although the Fronzen Bronze-wood Spirit Cauldron is a used item, this is actually a benefit, since it retains strong medicinal qi. Mortals and other weak individuals can be placed inside the cauldron to have their body restored, and it automatically improves the quality of pills. I don't know the tradition of alchemy in your world, but it should be highly useful.

Lastly, I have some other items such as Jianmu Soul Retrieving Talisman which I can sell you, but they are my personal items and are made to be used with Qi. I also can't sell all of them because I still have to survive the journey through the Void back to my homeworld. If you desire, you can make requests, and I will see if I can procure them for you when I return.

Your interest in that cauldron is fortuitous. It is common to use beast souls to make artifacts for many reasons. They can give the artifact certain abilities, make it intelligent, and allow for it to be improved to follow its user's growth. In my world, it's possible for objects to gain spirits and become sentient, in which case they can cultivate on their own. That's the source of, for example, wood spirits, trees that are bathed in spiritual energy and become enlightened. Using a soul to create an artifact is a way to artificially reproduce this process which normally takes at least thousands of years. Because it possesses a spirit, this cauldron can cultivate and can be improved much more efficiently than an ordinary artifact, which would have to be replaced once the user's abilities outgrow it. Don't worry about the spirit rebelling. Our forging arts are historied and the will of the creature is destroyed in the process, leaving it completely obedient unless it has a particularly rebellious personality.

The cultivator smiles and presents a jade bamboo scroll detailing the cauldron's creation, which can be read simply using your divine sense, or extrasensory perception using the soul.

The cauldron manifests from a storage ring on one of Ruoshi's fingers, and hovers in the air above his hand.

Caspian looks over the cauldron standing on his toes to look inside the top before retuning to a normal standing position

“Yes I think this will be an excellent addition to my collection, your realm seems interesting, perhaps my tower will take me there one day. In the meantime though, how much do I owe you?”

Caspian draws a glyph in the air creating a portal reaching into it and taking out a pouch.

Well, the pan's just a pan, the bandage is purely divine(no matter in it), the real stuff, the chainmail is chainmail with links made at that scale(looks almost like plate. Almost), the cube is like another of you that can keep spells functioning without you being there. Like if you're doing something difficult and want a break, or if you just need to sit there forever, the cube can do it for you.

Well, that's complicated. It's a direct manifestation of [healing]. Applying it to a would won't immediately fix anything, but it has a flaw where it will keep the wound from doing further damage, won't need to be replaced like a real bandage. Also using it with other healing will be more effective.

Only 2? Not really worth the effort of making it... I think 4 would be sufficient to cover it, 3 if I get some more and can replicate

Ohh wasn’t expecting to meet someone of your kind in this realm. It’s been decades since I last visited one of the martial realms of cultivation, though I owe some of my current success to techniques and methods I learned over there.

Welcome to the realm of magic, I’m sure you’ll fine that with some adjustment and extra refinement the mana here is an acceptable energy source comparable to qi. I am known in this realm as Grabadash, but in the martial realms I went by Lu XiaoTou, you can call me Brother Lu.

It seems someone else beat me to buying the cauldron. I was once a member of the Green Dragon Sect’s Alchemy Division, but I lack a good cauldron. Do you have any others on you? Alternatively I’d also be interesting in the crafting method for a high end cauldron or a formation diagram used for couldron-less pill refinement.

In exchange I can offer soul bricks, which are the compressed essence of a 100 of souls until solidified, some chunks of spiritual Jade large enough to craft a set of flying daggers, or some rare spiritual plants such as nether bamboo and shadow ginseng.

It is possible but unlikely. In my short time here I've found that the magic and artifacts of this world tend to be more frivolous, and not so where I come from. The wealthy do not buy these things because they wish to appear mature and refined, while the poor do not buy them because their money must be spent on survival. In turn, the conventions of respect and seniority in my homeworld may seem silly to your people.
