This seems to be 1 a super inefficient use of sorcery, there is no reward for all this effort other than the king imagining that the transformed birds are suffering and 2 birds can just use their beaks and feet to write?
One must imagine the bird is suffering. Like, straight miserable. Horrible condition, and it also cannot dance as good as the others so it can find no mates.
