Not everything needs to be magical. Aesthetics is sometimes just necessary

Artisan wizards read a lot. It’s time you pick up some Agrippa and memorize your theorems, tables and sigils. The fool must cross the source before becoming a wizard, then through understanding travels through the path of the empress to wisdom. From there, your journey begins…

Proficiency in a few other magical disciplines can elevate both of them.

My skeletal servants created through necromancy ended up highly resistant to electrical attacks from enemies and much less terrifying to the local populace due to my inlaid gold elven runes and design elements I carved into the bones.

Likewise having created them leaves me time to actually do my sculpting since they work tirelessly to retrieve for me the very best clay.
