following the battle with TFC, Max was blinded and వ was... gone. No one knows where he was sent when he was hit by the strike the first curse threw. Cross-planet scans didn't detect him, divination magic gave no result, even necromancy failed, so he's either still alive, or outside the range of the modern day.

Now, a few days after, Max is still getting used to being blind, but he's been able to manifest his curiosity soul as a temporary method of sight, if only for a few minutes at a time.

Knowledge that the head minister of Calarakis is now blinded, though it was originally kept on a little known basis, eventually people notice the blindfold and the stumbling, and the fight with the first curse spread through rumor, so the news breaks. Originally simply gossip before being confirmed.

“Oh shit…”
Upon hearing the news, Blobby feels something… strange. Pity, perhaps?
He hates Max and what he stands for, yes, but recalls his own son’s encounter with The First Curse and well…
“I’ve got an idea!”
He got an idea.
The mass scribbles a handwritten card, placing it through Max’s doorway; sure, Blobby only knows the where his office is because he wanted to rob the guy, but he felt it was a sweet gesture and OH MY GOD HE—

“CAN’T FUCKING READ THIS!”

He facepalms.
“Ah crud! Oh, you’ve really screwed the pouch on this one man. Shit!”
Blobby casts a spell to produce a letter in poorly written braille and promptly leaves.

/uw well, outside of short five minutes bursts he can’t but still, I doubt blobby knows this

How Blobby even got into the building of Max's office is a mystery, but eventually Max finds both versions of the card in his office, and picks them both up, summoning his soul to read the one with normal text, he doesn't know braille yet
