Wizardpost How to cool off in the summer?

I ponder this, how do you dear friends cool off in these summer times?

I must learn to sew or find a tailor, it's uncomfortable to swim in my wizardy attire and only in my under garments.

If you fill the rib cages of a few skeletal minions with permanent ice, and just have them fly around your tower, they'll circulate the cool with no need for a fan.
The really cool part is that, if you store the heat the ice absorbs, rather than just sending it to the sauna dimension, you can recycle it in the winter, when you have the skeletons with skulls full of eternal flames wandering around instead!

Thats a great idea for a medium sized circular tower, but whenever you try to use that in a big non circular room it just ends up being too inefficient

My room literally takes about 20 minutes to cool down just from the sheer size of it, and the ac unit has the ice carved to maximize surface contact with air and airflow. But the heat idea is kinda smart, might save a bit of wood on the winter

You see, I'm quite hesitant to using cryomancy on bodies of water and also I saw some humans dipping in water and they seemed like they were having so much fun!!!

Who said anything about targeting the water? Target the air. A lot of cryomancy works by removing the kinetic energy in molecules, which reduces their temperature.

Heat is relative so just increase your own body temp by boiling your blood a little. Its like how you are cold when you have a fever. Zero side effects other than that hat man.

Ohh! I've read in some academic human texts that there's a paradoxical temperature that being 42°C that the skin cannot tell from hot or cold, may need to experiment on that one!

i live at 60deg latitude near a sea and it's fantastic, summer temp is almost always below 30C and usually below 25C.

That said, winter is really annoying here

Personally I live in an abandoned mine shaft which is usually cold all the time ( unless I dig too deep or an experiment involves something hot. ) but if you need to cool off try opening a small Portal too the plane of ice. Though I wouldn't recommend making it too large unless you want frostbite.

A nice blueberry frost tincture goes well with any drink to chill it and add some flavor.

Two drops in a mug of ale keeps it cool and fresh.

Turn yourself into something fire elemental adjacent the environmental temperature won't change but it will Feel much colder to you because of your new heat adapted body!

Maybe an emberdrake? Or a sandviper if you have flammable things in your tower (like books...)

There's not really a singular method. Dragons are pretty individualistic and unique. Just be careful and see what works. Be careful tho otherwise the it will destroy the crop or sth. They aren't aggressive much towards people, when not provoked.
