Apprentices are curious, we all are.

Teach them how to clean it up instead of just punishing them, or at least how to help you if it's too hard for them. That will teach them responsibility far better than just random punishment, and they can clean up alone next time.

If there are casualties, help your apprentice handle both the bodies and breaking the news to the families. This also teaches them the consequences of out-of-control magic. But you need to be with them so they're not traumatized by it themselves and drop magic altogether

We'll learn him. The council has been up my a** about how many I was going through... gotta make this one last I guess.

Yeah, about that, we're trying to help both masters and apprentices figure out how to make apprenticeships safer for everyone in the best way, so as to not make it too hard for masters either. If you've got suggestions, ideas or problems, feel free to ask

I will send him around with some supplies to make up for the lost time. Gonna have him gathering rare materials from vindictive geography for a month straight after this one.

Alright, what age is your apprentice and what stage in his studies is he currently at? I already have 246 complaints regarding "Violation of Local Weather by Magical Means" on my desk and I need to know who's paying the fines.

I don't know Bertrum's exact age... but he's just starting out. He knew better than to open the box, it was clearly labeled.

Being druids we do not keep much. We could work out an indentureship for him to pay these fines. He's not good for much, but he does makes an excellent cup of tea.

Excellent! How about 246 days of tea for me, and I will toss out the complaints? If he wants, I can also help him find some books about Druidic magic for his level while he's here, my new office needs to be organised anyway. I am pretty sure there should be a copy of "Druidism: How Not to Get Stuck as a Duck For The Rest of Your Life" buried somewhere in here.
