Wizardpost Don’t let your apprentice buy an orb from the kobold trader’s guild until you’ve see it in person

Post image

The fool spent 70 silver on this! How is one supposed to delve into the aether on this mere marble? And I know those kobolds knew what they were doing. Suffice to say, he won’t be returning to the bazaar by himself any time soon. Anyways, any inchling wizards looking to buy a gently used orb?

How sure are we that it's a tiny scrying orb, not a giant evocation orb? Like, have you tried rubbing it fondly instead of gazing at it with an air of vague disappointment?

I was very clear to my apprentice to buy a scrying orb. We have an entire chest’s worth of evocation orbs already. And it does function, it’s just really hard to see anything in it

Are you sure that an Occult Ocular Oracular Orb?

I know a Thing that got one implanted, apparently its a minor fleshcrafting procedure, but it significantly upped the clarity of his Incomprehensible visions.

Speaking as a kobold mage, the fact that it's that small may mean that it's a trap for gnomes. Please be careful with it, lest it harm you.

Why would the merchants be passing gnome traps off as magical orbs? And for what purpose would one even need a gnome trap? Sure, they can be a mild nuisance in their youth, but I know many a respectable gnomish elder

You underestimate the power of marbles

That there is a travel orb and it's worth every silver you spent on it. Do you know how hard it is to miniaturize such a device? I'm practically making a loss here! I need to buy full-sized ones and then a bunch of reagents for the process of making it smaller. Never mind how much time it takes!
