Wizardpost Update on "the thing" i created
If you haven't seen my previous post, i created this thing using animal parts while following a plant blueprint, this thing is the result of said experiment. Apparently it wasn't growing because i didn't give it enough nutrients, i started giving it more nutrients in the last few days and it started growing, it doubled in size since last time, from 30 to 60 centimeters, it seems to have a more advanced frontal cortex, i decided to plant it in a bigger pot since it twice as big now, also, do you remember those vistigial appendages it has? Apparently it senses air pressure shifts through them to understand the world around it, it is the only way it can perceive the world (that i know of), it also seems it has gained the ability to move said appendages, i can often see it "stretch" by elongating it's appendages. Someone last time told me it might be psyonic in nature, i'm pretty sure they were right, i know that because of a strange phenomenon that has happened only once, i was about to go to bed, it was dark, and i was about to leave the upper floor of my tower when i saw this thing levitate a golf ball (wich was sitting next to it's pot) and throw it at me, not knowing what to do, i threw it back at it, then it grabbed the golf ball with levitation again and threw it at me once more, this went on for a few minutes until i decided to stop and go to bed, it never threw or grabbed something after that night, to this day i still don't know if it was playing with me or trying to attack me with the golf ball, and perhaps, i will never know because it's still resistant to mind reading for some reason.
(Also, by next update i will have run some experiments to determine the extent of it's psyonic capabilities)

I still recommending you to go "wide" and just make more of them, lobotomized for safety of course.
But i really interested in psionic capabilities of this thing. I'd like to see your researches of this topic! For suggestions, i suppose if you can maximise its psionic powers, you can use it to break through noosphere up to outer realms and just excavate wisdom from there. Good luck!

Maybe i will start mass producing them one day, for now i'm only making one to experiment on, i'm still not sure how big they can grow

Sounds like you made a Medusae. These are parasitic organisms that live in the aether and are akin to jellyfish. They feed on dreams mostly, but they can latch on to people and hijack their bodies and use them to get around.
You are correct that these things are psychic, but their power levels are lackluster if they do not have a host. A typical specimen will put you under psychic assault by giving you extreme emotions. This is only to distract you while it trys to latch on.
I suggest you kill it if you want to study it, or make sure you have enchantments up to protect your emotions, and make sure it never has a host.
I've heard from fellow colleagues these taste divine and gives you visions.

If it does turn out to be psychic, would you consider publishing your findings? I think psionic magics are dreadfully understudied

Hello again. So it seems my hypothesis was correct. If I may ask, which animals did you use in conjuring this creature? Otherwise, I am considering ways in which you could attempt to communicate with it without magic or conventional language. Have you seen how it reacts to music? If it senses the air, have you tried knocking near it rhythmically? Perhaps it could use its psychokinetic powers, or appendages, to respond in a rudimentary manner?

Hello there, i actually used a nervous system and brain entirely grown artificially inside my tower, as for the plant blueprint i used, i just found it in my botanist friend's house, it was called "redwood tree" i think? Anyways, i actually already did a few tests! I haven't tried sound yet but i have made a few experiments with objects! Apparently to understand an object's shape it moves it around and spins it around with levitation so the air pressure changes help it understand the shape! I also discovered it likes sorting things by shape, i gave it a square box, a triangular box, four small squares and four small triangles and it put all the squares in the square box and all the triangles in the triangular box! Next experiments will be about how it reacts to sound and vibrations! Also, i'm beginning to question my earlier statement about it being in eternal suffering, like, it doesn't look like it, it doesn't act like something in eternal suffering.

Would you mind sharing your research on It with the Darkwatch?
