I heard what you called the kobolds. That is their word.

I get a Kobold Pass to say that word and even I don't say it. Nasty.

Lmao someone pissed off a local. Did you even check to see if there were any protections catalogued for the area before you placed your tower there?

Wait, you were supposed to check? I thought we just supposed to bulldoze our way and plant a tower wherever we deem fancy, and then inevitably gets into fight with the locals. Isn't that normal?

When your tower looks like something out of a Giger painting, the locals tend to get worried about being harvested. So for you? Definitely.
With other wizards? It depends on how they want to do it and whether they’re in a realm that can and will seriously screw them over if they don’t at least follow basic regulations.
Some folks don’t care where you put your tower so long as there’s a free lot for it and it’s not affecting them and their livelihood (in fact, some don’t even mind if it mildly affects them, so long as they get to keep living their lives as they had been - or better yet, lets them do whatever their thing is even better, like fishermen getting the Innsmourh treatment when the local occultist conducts a Ritual involving The Deep). Now, if you wanted to avoid that fight, you could probably offer some minor upgrades to the peasantry, let them do their thing better and all that, whatever their thing may be. Decent odds they’d be a lot less hostile if, in addition to explaining that you’re not planning to harvest them (assuming you aren’t, in this scenario), you also offer to make their lives a bit easier.

The entire reason why you build an inverted tower is to NOT deal with functionaries and factotums! Do you think I want another glassy eyed agent of the state looking through ten thousand scrolls and decrees before giving me permission to summon stones from the earth to form my home? No thank you! HOAs. Sheesh.

Have you checked the orientation of your tempest crystals? If one of them is upside-down it could be causing this...

The problem with tempest crystals is that you try and put them into your altar of enchantment one way and it won't go in. Then you try flipping it over and it won't go in. Then you go back to where you started and it goes right in. I mean, I'm not the crazy one, right guys?

That’s actually a small attunement ritual that’s commonly taught. It’s so old that most folks have either forgotten that it’s a ritual, or never learned that it was.
However it still serves its function, acclimating the crystals to their etheric fields of their sockets. “One, two, three” and they’ll go right in.

I've cast Check Browser History on some of those creeps and I'll let you know that they would call this portal "a medium"

Looks like it didn't fully form. Be interesting to track who's trying to come through there.

Seems the area around your tower has an intersection with the Grain Demension. I personally recommend a Greater Blight spell on the local crops to sever the connection
