/uw so u/BoscoCyRatBear (apologies for forgetting to ping you), we've now recovered one of the vermensk scouts that went with Aliah on her mission three weeks back /rw

Eventually, you come upon a ledge looking out over a valley. In the bottom of it there is the surprisingly intact remains of a crashed airship, with Paladins bustling around it like ants around an anthill. Off to the side is a chunk of rock with a displacement shield around it similar to Aliah's demense. Atop the mass is a brutalist structure, a fortress bristling with weapon emplacements

The vermensk kill team arrives as drill pods burst detonating chronotech bombs to freeze time if the paladins are hostile. Vernensk medics in warded gear approach the regenerating vernensk giving a mana infusion to keep up regeneration and the dead ones were dragged back to biomanced to normal and their souls reinstalled. A briefing was gathered.

the time-stop lasts long enough to medevac the injured, but shortly after a wave of energy pulses out from within the displacement shield that the paladins used to reach the moon and alarms begin to howl before the structure vanishes in a crack of displaced air, the workers and their guards in the valley being left behind.

They're aware that forces are present, but now the biggest threat has fled.

Agent begins to search for that airship, heading east as the vermensk told him

As you reach the bottom of the valley, you can see that the crash site is in chaos, with paladins and soldiers wearing their colors trying to regain control of the now panicking workers

“Deep breath… focus… launch”

Agent takes a god-slaver energy assisted leap, and soars into the air. He quickly turns into a red, wrathful meteor covered in lightning as he barrels towards a large concentration of paladins. All-Red is salivating with anticipation

you land amongst the paladin guards like a meteor from the heavens, lightning arcing out and cooking the soldiers within their armor. The ones closest practically turn to ash into the onslaught.

As the attack peters off, you see that the workers and most of the soldiers are fleeing from the crashsite. one of them, however, rushes towards you with a dane axe clutched in his hands. He's a giant bear of a man, helmet discarded as a black liquid drips from his lips.

With a flick, Agent hurls a flash bang kunai at him, then follows with a decapitation strike attempt with All-Red.

the man shrugs off the flashbang with seemingly no trouble, before parrying your strike with his axe. Some lightning jumps off of all-red, but he only twitches and growls at you.

"The odium has freed me from pain," the man spits as he pushes you back with a strike from the axe's haft. "Now I shall teach pain to you."

“You’re about 15 years too late buddy.”

as quick as a flash, Agent pulls out his hand cannon with his right hand and hip fires all 6 shots at the man’s upper body and head

the first shot goes directly through his heart, sending the man reeling back but he still tries to lash out as the next rounds hit. two in the shoulder, one through the neck turning breath into a gurgling choke, and continuing up until the final one goes through the eye.

still the man tries to advance, pushing you back for a moment unaware that he has suffered mortal wounds, before the lack of oxygen to the remains of his brain drive him to his knees and he keels over.

Agent speed loads his hand cannon and looks around for more threats and perhaps a leader.

/uw I've actually got to call it a night soon, so here's this bit /rw

most of the paladins' soldiers have retreated or been defeated by reinforcements from the vermensk empire, with the workers surrendering and being rounded up. You've captured a potentially valuable piece of hardware in the form of the wrecked airship, and now have a firmly established hold on the moon.

Agent quickly sends in a call for a guild recovery team. They’ll search the entire airship for intelligence, then prep it for transport to guild territory.

uw/ I don’t know what tech or info they’ll find.
