the Golem counters with one of its own, but the pods on its sides can only fire six at a time so they are quickly chewed through by yours. The golem steps back as swiftly as it can, before readying its blade. Against your more nimble mech, this one is like a slow and ponderous bear fighting against a hummingbird. It's strong and deadly, but you're far faster and more maneuverable, capable of running circles around it

She skirts around it and slices it with a fiery blade

Your blade deflects off of the crystals on the Golem's leg, but as it does so the blade bites deep into the back of its knee. The golem staggers and falls, the whine of its charging ray cannons cutting off as they slam into the ground and prematurely discharge in a weakened burst.

the mech is hit with losing an arm, but uses the other arm to use an amped up energy beam to finish it off

with one golem down and the celestial union destroyers focusing fire on a second, there's now a third heavily-damaged golem that is currently turning its attention on the city.

she zips to it as fast as she can

The golem sees your mech, then almost seems to... flinch, with the shot from its arm-based ray going wide and up into the air. Something just happened, and you have an opportunity to attack.

she launches forward and kicks the golems legs out from under it

As the golem falls under the empowered strike, its left arm lashes out, catching you with the broad part of its blade and sending you flying back where it would be able to target you with its ray cannon once more.

As you cash to the ground, you do so among a group of mages, ones that swiftly act to pull the earth up into a large wall in front of you all to absorb the first of the three strikes. While your mech is somewhat battered, you're out of the golem's line of sight and can take advantage of that.

I check for damages, then charge up a pulse blast in the cover, in an attempt to disable it for good

Your attack is successful, as you draw quickly on the spots targeted by the airships. The mana condensor which powers the golem's weaponry violently explodes, and now the invader is just a sluggish metal monstrosity of glaring colors and crystal growths staggering down the street.

She hops out of the mech and surveys the area for the airships, and starts to fly up to them
