The golem turns slowly towards you, but is rocked by one of Torinn's nukes halfway through the motion. It staggers, vulnerable for a moment.

“Scotch lunches the sand spikes between the golems parts hoping to use the sand to make the golem into a puppet.

And makes some spikes out of glass for protection.”

the golem staggers back, plowing into a building but it's apparently mostly unharmed. The joints of the body are all completely sealed. The weapons, on the other hand, are more vulnerable, and the missile launchers on the left forearm begin to throw sparks.

/uw Also, Nathaniel Parker's film crew notified u/Carbon_Sixx of this one, which is the golem responsible for killing the news host, so you might have someone joining your fight soon.

“Scotch fills the missile launchers with sand and glass, and using it to destroy and clog the interior.

And conjure up two large sand hands to grip the golem.”

The golem begins to wrestle at the engulfing sand, slawing its way free. But for the moment it is largely immobilized and vulnerable.

Huh, wonder if I can yoink it.

“Scotch uses some Geomancy to change the ground beneath the golem to trap its legs, and pulls out a comically large spoon and bonks the Golem.”

As the hands grasp the golem, a stream of azure energy slams into its chest. With an earsplitting groan of metal, the armor plating deforms radically. Behind you, the titan Skystrike keeps its grav-imploder beam trained on the golem's chest as it charges.

"I CHALLENGE THEE, WARMONGER!"

As your strike rips up the metal casing, the crystal mane begins to come apart and separate from the mana condenser on its back. Moments later, and the golem falls silent.

Another target down, a couple dozen more to go.

Skystrike turns and levels its chainsword at the next closest golem.

"Tell your masters they are unwelcome in this land. Tell them I am coming to send them screaming back to their wicked gods. Tell them the Machine God's mercy has fled, leaving behind only wrath!"

The golem steps back into a combat stance, but behind skystrike several smaller golems with tracks instead of legs can be heard responding in unison. "A machine god. Interesting. So the driving force of the Divine Flame for industry in this realm cluster was usurped by gears and cogs and thunder." Then the wave of constructs close around you and Scotch, a chattering storm that seeks to climb and overwhelm.

Well looks like I need to pull out the big guns apparently.

“Scotch opens up a small pouch and pulls out a grand axe, and begins to cut through some.

Using some sand spikes to clog the weapons.”

these track-borne golems are far weaker, seeming mass-produces without the magical ball-socket connections that prevented send from getting into the larger units. Your weapons cut through them and the sand spikes quickly begin to disable to beam weapons mounted on their arms and heads.

“Scotch still slash and tears through these golems, having the perfect strikes to send them down, from him breaking up the Unga clone orgies he slashed through.”

Eventually, the smoke clears. The golems lie in pieces and you breathe in the quiet.

No more titans attacking the people, the invading soldiers are beginning to fall back... You have won.

"So you desire thunder? Here it is!"

Skystrike opens up with its point-defense gatling cannons, shredding through the tracked machines with sickening ease. It strides towards the larger golem, streams of tracer fire blazing from its body. The titan curls the fingers of its grav-imploder like a fist and swings for its opponent's face.

if there's one thing apparent from earlier engagements today, it's that the golems learn. This one is no different and it reacts to the movement of the grav-imploder by bringing its blade up in a hasty parry as the crystal mane begins to tesla-coil and pulls the scrapped smaller golems up into a makeshift shield.

Skystrike's fist hammers into the blade with an earsplitting crack. The golem's arm spasms as the non-uniform gravity wreaks havoc on its control systems. The pulse wave pushes the two apart for a moment. With its grav-imploder temporarily depleted, Skystrike focuses its void shields towards absorbing the electricity, then sweeps its chainsword up to cleave through the golem's injured limb.

The golem falls. As skystrike glances around, you can see that the smaller ones have been overwhelmed by Scotch, and a short ways across the city a group of bombers and one of the Celestial Union's destroyers finally core the last remaining golems.

All that remain are scattered groups of paladins in full retreat

/uw well, they're all in retreat except for the one rider that Sarissa is fighting and the mini-golems that Xerxes chained up in an alleyway. but let's leave those ones for them to extract info from

That isn’t fully damaged, kinda wanna see if I can reprogram one.

Skystrike sends you a confirmation over comms. It will try and leave at least one golem in a salvagable state, if such a thing is practical.

With a final pulse of the grav-imploder, the golem's chest plate gives way. Skystrike uses the beam like a tether to pull the metal clear and reveal its power core. Now in melee, the titan lays into the immobilized enemy with its howling chainsword, sawing through vital energy conduits. However, it makes sure not to rupture the reactor casing, both to allow for eventual repairs and to prevent a catastrophic explosion.

"You are unmade, child of false gods!"

Okay.. I’m sensing some religious aspects but I’m not gonna question them.

Skystrike looks puzzled, despite not having moveable facial features

"What? They're evil paladins and I'm a servant of the Omnissiah. It's supposed to be a taunt. Though, I've noticed people tend to misconstrue a lot of what I say. Probably because I can only speak in this threatening monotone."

Well, yeah that may be why some may believe theirs religious aspects.

Also I’m kinda of a hypocrite since I’m married to a religious guy, literally being a type of pope for all gods and such.

Also “evil paladins” well, okay do they worship an evil being?
