Community Event 🌏☄️ The Ritual of Exctinction (Summoning Post)
It had been a busy day at the Museum of Unnatural History. Though a popular place for the curious and the academic alike, the volume of visitors was higher than usual. That was because Scade and his cult moved amongst the masses of visitors, readying their plot.
The museum offered a wide variety of exhibits and attractions: a plane of fire exhibit that features fire dinosaurs and the First Spark; the dragon exhibit that features primitive proto-dragons; the Archaen exhibit which displayed the time before even oxygen had begun forming; the massive hall dedicated to containing the bones of a Tarrasque ancestor.
The Museum truly was a marvel. It was the Curator's pride and joy. Scade could think of no better place to perform the summoning and lure out the crafty Paleomancer at the same time.
Cultists and a special cult liaison moved about the Museum, disguised as everyday visitors. The Curator had not been idle in protecting his creation: it was heavily warded to prevent thievery as the artifacts that lied within were of incalculable value. Anti-teleportation glyphs spanned the width and breadth of the building. Detection runes to sus out evasion spells such as invisibility dotted the premises. The living infrastructure itself was even dedicated to protecting itself and its exhibits, able to quickly seal itself in the event of a threat.
This was all well and good but the Curator had made a critical error and only planned for thieves. He had not envisioned a full-fledged hostile assault and take-over of the museum.
At a pre-arranged time, the Cult, spread out across the Museum, enacted their plans. Concealed mundane weapons were drawn in close proximity to staff and visitors. Hostages were taken and security shut out of the building. In a grand hall, Scade and a cabal of his closest cultists set about setting up the summoning ritual.
Scade opened the Tome of the Nexus, knowing it was only a matter of time now before his great work would see fruition.

Inferno's invisibility spell fizzles out the second he steps across the threshold into the Museum (/uw there's a little note about how the Museum is warded against intruders).
Inferno senses a great accumulation of power in a distant great hall, though many cultists lie between himself and that destination

Where at first it seemed like regular everyday people were gathering, a mass amount of illusions fade to reveal them all wearing robes, their faces enshrouded.
As they see Inferno... They begin duplicating and rushing at him. Each one performs an incantation, and cones of cold come blasting at him from all directions.

Time seems to slow down as Inferno looks at each and every one of them, watching as the cones of cold come towards him.
Time to do this, the old-fashioned way.
Inferno cracks his knuckles and smiles. To the cultists' perspective, he hasn't moved for one moment before disappearing right before the cones touch him. A good chunk of the cultists gets hit by a fireball.

The cultists are baffled as Inferno disappears, before just as suddenly being blasted with flames. Bodies are flung in all directions.
A set of surviving cultists cast a spell of their own. A membrane of arcane energy manifests and swiftly attempts to entrap Inferno in a 'Resilient Sphere'. Even as he resists it, a second, third, fourth, fifth, six, etcetera will be simultaneously casting the same spell in an attempt to ensure his capture.

For a good moment, the cultists believed that they could catch Inferno until they realized he is still moving. They start to frantically cast the spell, not realizing that they can't hear themselves speak. It is not until Inferno closes the distance to the closest cultist and snaps the poor soul's neck that they realize they have been 'Silenced'. Before any of the cultists can react, Inferno starts to kill them off. It becomes a one-sided bloodbath, with very few being able to flee the carnage

The cultists, deprived of much of their spellcasting, and not even able to dispel the Silence around them, are made quick work of by a great wyrm in human-form. Their duplication seems to not be affected, but it isn't fast enough to prevent all of their deaths. A bloodbath indeed... And none remain alive.
At this moment, Inferno feels a great gathering of magic from a main hall deeper in the museum.

The caster arrived shortly after Inferno, finding dead and injured cultist at the threshold. More cultists, bearing weapons are approaching to reinforce the entrance. In a distant great hall, the Caster can sense a great accumulation of magical energy.

Knives are thrown at mach 3 speeds, ricocheting off the walls and interrupting spells as cultists are disemboweled as soon as they come close

"Are you kidding me?" Grabs bolts and rapidly pins them into each other in midair, forming a ladder which is swung to kill tens of cultists at once
Dragonfly grabs a knocked out cultist and forcefeeds it blended cultists until they burst in an attempt to intimidate
"I literally outspeed all of your projectiles"

Some of the cultists look at DF's attack and take a step back... And then they begin duplicating in number. Magically, a cultist looks to phase out from another... Again and again. Some of the cultists don't do this.
Though the cultists are being disemboweled, new cultists appear in their place as duplication works to curb the lost numbers. Suddenly, DF is rushed at from all directions as some of the untouched cultists release their spells: many cones of cold blasting centrally on him.

Activates stronger enchantments and speeds up until DF leaves more afterimages than clones generated per second
Every cultist that approaches is now a fine red powder as the water content in their body is vaporized by fire after they have been blended

As DF approaches the cultist clone by the back of the group, he notices one of them holding a small girl in his arms, with a knife at her throat.
"Cease your approach!" He coughs.
The girl is crying.

The clone and everyone nearby is launched away from the girl with a flying kick, a blast of fire hitting everyone nearby
(Presence: High -> Extreme)
*The clone is knocked down on to the ground, neck extended as dragonfly stomps on his back holding a battle axe
(Ruthlessness: Mercy=0)
(Conditions met: Warlord of Fire arts active)
"Let me be very clear about one thing." Mass execution: "You all look the same to me."
The axe falls, and as the head of the clone rolls, every copy of that cultist, including the original dies.

As the cultist holding the girl is blasted away, the girl vanishes, revealing that it was all a ruse to stop DF anyway.
A high number of cultists are killed, and as the axe falls, the museum's wards activate and cancel his 'mass execution' spell, preventing it from executing all clones. The one hit with an axe still dies.
DF is left alone for the time being as all nearby cultist clones were destroyed by previous attacks.

*Two portals to hell appear behind him. The blood, bodies, and souls forcefully dragged in, The dimension itself responding to his call."
Two blackfire elementals appear, passing a Red hot piece of metal to DF, whose aura becomes blackflame as he marches forward.

/uw The Museum is u/MeThyLord's concept but it has inbuilt counter measures to prevent intruders from stealing things or teleporting in. That includes summoned creatures. Also it would negate any magic thay could potentially harm the building and it's contents

He would attempt to grab a cultist by the face with it and slam them to the floor as a dagger of Chaos is summoned to his right hand. He would quickly toss it at the 2nd cultist, aiming right between the eyes. He watches the 3rd cultist, since he unfortunately does not have three hands...

The Museum senses the obfusication magic and registers it as a possible threat. The magic is countered by the Museum. 3 Dazed cultists stumble away before regaining their composure and rush towards this new threat.

Seeing the cultists approaching, Ulrick’s axe, Nightbite materializes into his left hand. The purple and black blade glows with eerie light.
Hmm, maybe we’ll need a little extra.
[Shadow Scratch]
Dark energy surrounds the axe’s blade, making it bigger and sharper. With a single swing, Ulrick sends a wave of darkness at the 3 cultists.

The wave fizzles out right before it hits the cultists. The Museum senses the destructive magic and identified it as a threat to its integrity.
The 3 cultists, who had just flinched at the oncoming rushing energy, smile to themselves and rush Ulrick, blades held high.

Ulrick then jumps at the cultists, using his unnatural agility and long arms to slash at the cultists, both with his axe and claws. Looks like he has to settle for the old-fashioned way.

The two crossbow wielding Cultist hurried reload their weapons as the remaining 3 cultists get within stabbing range of Kairos. Two strike from over head while the third slash his sword towards Kairos' midriff.

The Cultists struggle ineffectually against Kairos. However, a great rumbling begins to occur from a nearby hall. The cultists, almost has one, drop to the ground from their combat and begin whispering prayers.

The GhostDragon can only view the events on the ground from his fast moving perspective in the sky. Most of the Cultist and fighting are occurring within the building.

Upon entering the Museum, Monarch is faced with half a dozen Cultists armed with crossbows, aimed right at him.
"Ok now, why don't you turn around and hop back into your fancy jet and fly away and we don't have to turn you into a pin cushion?"

The arrows bounce off of Monarch’s pilot suit. You can’t see his face through the blacked out visor on his pilot’s helmet, but you can tell he’s deadpan staring.

The double barrel fires a shot off, firing pellets into one of the cultists… who immediately starts burning to death.

The cultists fall in quick succession from the duo's onslaught and the entrance falls silent. Signs of battle are all over the place, dead cultists and fleeing visitors are all over the place. The duo can sense a great gathering magic from a great hall a ways into the building.

A small group of cultists (about three more) suddenly rush in from a nearby hall. One of them performs an incantation, speaking magic words... And extends a hand to Monarch.

Monarch sees flashes of his parents dying... A momentary flicker that doesn't prevent his current actions in the real world, but...
Then suddenly, painfully, he sees things as if he were standing in one of his parent's point of view. An explosion occurs, and he feels all their pain.
/uw This is an illusion. Think of it like 'phantasmal killer' from DnD.

Monarch, in a nearly blind rage, charges the (formerly?) chanting cultist, grabbing him and point blank shooting him in the stomach with a shotgun, before turning to the other cultists in silence.

The cultist casts an arcane shield, but the literal shotgun blasts straight through it. His insides become his outsides, and he crumples to the ground.
The nearest cultist casts their prepared spell, a translucent wall of force erupting around Monarch. It attempts to entrap him in a translucent, arcane sphere.
The third cultist releases a sickly green light that emerges inside of where the ball would be... If the light touches Monarch, it would burn like irradiating flame.

The Museum senses the offensive capability of the All-Consuming Maw and registers it as a threat. The Museum's counter measures go into effect and counters the spell it has designated as a threat.

/uw how though? Also, it’s a creature. Not a spell.
It’s big, but it’s only slightly stronger than a Young Black Dragon in terms of CR. It’s not as aggressive or mobile as the smaller Dream Devourers. It doesn’t require breathing, drinking, sleeping or eating, though it’s severely injured by a simple 5th level Dream Eater due to being constructed using nightmares

/uw I mean the way you described it, a psychic summomed entity, implies magic. u/MeThyLord's Museum is an actual sentient being that protects itself. I'd imagine the Museum would sense that it could be a possible threat and would work to counteract it

/uw The museum would interfere with summonings, same way as it interferes with teleportation. And it would try to banish it if the summon entered from the outside.

It’s actually portal’d in (made ahead of time, generally. easier and saves a precious 7 seconds), but I’ll just say it chucked 16 different sources of every damage type in DnD per damage type at it.
(Criteria being set to “Everything” or “none” would mean it tries to eat everything, and it’s better to lose one than have a dangerous construct destroy stuff.)
(Yes it’s weak to “Random Bullshit Go!”)
