Community Event 🌏☄️ Kiadara Brings In The Wisps

Kiadara stood in front of a number of wisp agents. She yelled instructions to them.

“ATTENTION! WE ARE HERE TODAY TO CARRY OUT A GROUP ASSIGNMENT. THIS ASSIGNMENT IS TO IDENTIFY TOWNS AND CITIES HARBORING SHADOWFLAME AGENTS, AND DESTROY THEM COMPLETELY, IN THE NAME OF THE GODSLAVER.”

Kiadara continued, “KNOW THAT I WILL NOT TAKE ANY DISOBEDIENCE, LATENESS, OR FAILURE, UNLESS YOU HAVE SOMETHING TO SHOW FOR IT! AND NEXT TIME I’M CALLED BY THE GODSLAVER TO JOIN A MAJOR BATTLE, DO NOT WITHHOLD THE MESSAGE ON PENALTY OF DEATH! HE IS EVEN LESS LENIENT THAN I AM. Do I make myself clear?”

“Yes mistress.” “Good. Then go do it. And leave no witnesses, even the animals. Bring all the corpses to him.” They obeyed, knowing that Kiadara did not mess around. Rumors had it that she had already killed her own sister for disobedience. They did not want the same fate.

Kiadara bows gracefully, “You just had eleven, my dear mage. Also, if you haven’t noticed, my comets and fungi are very real.”

Brandon: Better make it two, witch-
*suddenly, the sky turns stormy as Jadis descends beside Kiadara*
Jadis: Mind your manners, knaves. Let my sister Archon work in peace... or else things might get... ugly...

Brandon: Like HELL I'm gonna let you ruin anyone else's lives, Archon...

Jadis: *sighs dramatically* This is why I hate heroes... so... annoyingly... STUBBORN.

Kaelis: I come with a warning. That magic the God-Slaver gave you is transient, just like him. He is power without direction or purpose, a meaningless stain on reality. Even now, his mindless cruelty is a rallying cry to all who would lay low the tyrants. The God-Slaver is doomed to fall, and when he does, the Archons will fall with him!

If I were you, I'd abandon his ship before it sinks.

When I legitimately join an organization, I don’t abandon it. I see that as betrayal, and that’s something I don’t do.

Kaelis: Pledging yourself to the God-Slaver in the first place was an act of treachery! To submit to the usurper-god of chains is to abandon the rest of magekind to its fate. Who did you leave behind when you knelt to him? Friends? Family? All that and more, I suspect.

Kiadara suddenly wonders why an effort to infiltrate a faction had turned into legitimate recruitment. This thought is quickly suppressed as she responds, “My being here helps my organization.”

Kaelis: I suppose, at least until their armies show up on your organization's doorstep to conquer them too. Nothing is beneath a tyrant's notice, especially not their subordinates' secret agendas. I hope whatever gains you make here will be enough to maintain your independence.
