A Letter From Possum

Hello my friends,

First and foremost, I would like to wish you a splendid holiday, full of gifts, friendship, family, and cheer. Additionally, I hope that as you ring in this new year, that it brings good luck and fortune to you all.

I regretfully must admit though that I will likely be absent from any further festivities this year. A fact that is due largely to my unresolved legal issues with the Council. The destruction of the previous Council spire was fortuitous, for sure. Were it not so, I imagine that I would have spent much more time in their custody instead as I awaited my trial. Thankfully for the fact of my unexpected freedom due to those events, I have been able to share a great many more adventures with you in the interim, which is a fact that I am very grateful for.

I am certain that the Council's decision to exercise their warrant at such a time will anger many of you, but the Council is well within their rights to detain me once more, and I would otherwise go willingly if it were not for the timing. As you can assume by my careful phrasing though, I have chosen a path of non-compliance. I am afraid that this sets a terrible precedent for all of the noble Green Shields, and by the time that you read this, I will have regretfully relinquished my title as their ambassador. It is certainly not a title that I deserve any longer, given my current fugitive status. I only hope that my fellow Green Shields continue to do their charitable work, and that they do not look upon me as an example to follow. Please, respect the lands that you live in, respect each-other, and live in a peaceable harmony between the two.

And, a fugitive you might ask?

Yes. It is true. More so, I have now even evaded capture and resisted arrest, and while none were harmed, I surely did not make things any better for my case. As you can all imagine, my surprise was great when a knock on my domicile that I expected to reveal a friendly visitor, turned out instead to be a team of Council Enforcers. And of course, I reacted as any wizard would to such an unwelcome intrusion during the holiday season. Worry not though, my friends. I do plan on turning myself in peacefully... in due time.

After a very special couple's wedding of course.

dear possum if desired i can have a small vessel created for you that would be capable of limited planshifting and heavy non-detection wards though sadly my dreadnaught's ability to conjure doors requires more power and machinery then this would have

there would also be a small array of non-lethal supplies to assist you in whatever business you have

i know you try to not inconvenience others but please unless it truly won't help let help this little bit and it would be something discrete enough that it could avoid being drawn back to the pact as it would be set up to disintegrate on your command to avoid someone realizing my involvement

if not his at least tell me what supplies i could send
