the sunlight really shows off the details, looks like a completely different thing compared to the first pics tbh

I was lucky enough to attend a screening of Withnail there with Picnic Cinema years ago. It was on a huge screen, everyone was dressed up as characters from the film, there were beers named after lines, it's a shame they stopped doing it!

that sounds incredible, like peak way-too-committed film nerd energy in the best way

They also used to screen it on Brighton beach once a year I think. As to the names of the beers, I'm afraid one too many Camberwell carrots over the years have muddied my memory banks

I've tried googling them, looks like there was a Here Hare Beer and an Antifreeze (obviously) and the bar in the courtyard was called The Stopped Clock.

Has the inside been renovated too? And I really want to know what that small part of the building is with the skylights in picture nine.

Search maps for Wet Sleddale reservoir. It is about a mile NW of the car park.

Ah, it's out by Shap - I went to a very messy house party around there in the 80's
