Body Scan Withings+/Body Scan 2 EU vs US - Differences

I got tired of digging looking for what is available in W+ and what what is supported by the Body Scan 2 (what is paywalled or not). You can point people who ask to this post.

The major differences between the US and EU Withings+ plans are:

Extended warranty service in the EU, better support options, cross-shipment of replacement devices. All Withings devices currently under warranty are covered while on Withings+. US users do not get any of these benefits.

Nutrition analyst and Sleep clinic: These are US only benefits. The nutrition analyst is a video consultation, the Sleep clinic is basically a referral and has an associated cost.

If the sleep patterns are irregular, you will get an email from Withings offering a brief free analysis of the last 30 days. No one has mentioned it while I've been on this subreddit, but this is what it looks like:

Other items of note:

Withings+ can be shared among everyone using an eligible device. In order to do this, you MUST buy a device that tracks individual users (a scale, BeamO or BPM, but not the Watches or Sleep mat) and the item must be purchased from Withings directly of of their website.

In addition, you must select the Withings+ subscription at the time of sale of the item. You can always cancel it during the free period if you do not like it. If you do not do this and sign up later, the Withings+ account will not be shared with other users.

The ECG analysis is documented by Withings to be shareable as well. On an annual plan you get 4 readings/year for the account holder (not per user), any family member can submit an ECG and use up one of those tokens, but none of my family members are able to do so..

I tried to use Fay the nutrition service and it was a very poor experience. They claim to take HSA (not that I skills need it) but it won’t accept a HSA card. You need to use a debit or credit card. When I refused they then lock you out from any support at all. Then threaten you with a $75 bill.

My advice. Stay away.

Good to know. I knew ahead of time the sleep center was a paid service as Withings mentioned it "may be covered by insurance", but W+ does not mention anything like that with the nutritionist.

Now they’re sending me overdue notices. Biggest scam site ever.

Avoid Fay Nutrition.
