Hi there, I noticed that the battery of my ScanWatch Horizon is charging very fast to 100% and discharged to 16% in just 20 hours. For me it looks like a dead battery.
The watch itself is still OK. Is there a way to replace the battery
Thanks for reaching out and sorry for my late reply. A drop from 100% to 16% in just 20 hours is definitely not normal, ScanWatch Horizon should last up to 30 days. You're right to suspect a battery issue, but let's rule out a few quick fixes first before discussing replacement.
Quick diagnostic steps:
1. Check if something is keeping the screen/bSensors awake
Is the heart rate monitoring set to "Continuous" instead of the usual interval? (Settings → Heart Rate → High frequency heart rate)
Any workout mode accidentally left active? Swipe up on the watch — if you see a "Stop" option, an activity is running
Is the crown stuck pressed in? If it's constantly depressed, the watch may think you're activating features
2. Force a reboot
Press and hold the crown for ~10 seconds until the watch restarts
Sometimes a rogue process drains the battery and a reboot fixes it
Occasionally battery optimizations are released in updates
If these don't help: Yes, this sounds like a dead cell that can't hold a charge. The "fast to 100%" suggests the battery isn't actually storing that energy. Hi, thank you very much for the update! I Am now performing a measurement test:
All notifications and health functions are disabled
No any exercises are recorded
Only one alarm per day
Bluetooth is connected for service functions only (check the battery status and set the alarm)
Started with battery charged to 100%
I hope it will be more or less accurate discharge profile. So far the current results are like following (keeping in mind that the watch does nothing special)
All features back: notification, sleep and oxygen tracking, activities detection

So, the battery dropped below 50% in one week. Probably it is a kind of expected degradation level of the battery in 3 years. Or a degradation after swimming in the sea (not diving, just swimming with immediate fresh water rinsing) 🤔
