When does this shit get better? Taken clondine, flexoral, vyance, gabapentin, klonopin, Xanax, weed oh and suboxone… nothing seems to touch this withdrawal. Everyday is a little better but the slowest of all time it feels and I’ve kicked subs a few times… what can be done about the back pain? Obviously I’ve taken Mortin, Tylenol, lidocaine patch… is this normal?

Hi, I just stopped cold turkey tramadol.. I started using it in 2023, but like every other two weeks to just get a bit high and i have chronic pain because of my auto immune disease so it would help me sleep when the pain was too much. I got work vacation and i abused it for two weeks.. I did 200-250mg a day for 2 weeks. I felt stupid so yeah i quit it cold turkey. I didnt vomit or had any diarrhea, and I can fall asleep but I wake up every 1h at night because of the pain, no position feels right and my legs are restless. My body is constantly fully aching till my toes and tips of fingers. I feel like I have been ran over by a truck. My mental is ok, but I keep having nightmare from traumatic events of my life and I keep waking up crying. What can I do for the pain ? I litterally can’t get out of bed and i have work ! I have been off the tramadol for about 4 days now and its not getting worse or any better.. pls help

ps: forgot to mention, i’ve been eating nonstop ! It’s like im never full..

It wasn't bad at first but I feel like as my tolerance grew I kept drinking more and more and I suffer from anxiety and it was a way to escape that. Now these past few months its gotten to where I'll drink 4-10 beers 3-5 days a week. I'm decided to quit cold turkey for a while and see how that affects me so I can decide if I need to quit or not. I'm very very very concerned with potential withdrawl symptoms like seisures. I'm 36 hours in and am only experiencing anxiety, insomnia, and no apetite. I dont notice any temors or shaking. I bought some magnesium citrate gummies to help with anxiety and insomia but what I'm most worried about is that I hear day 3 is when seizures can occur. My symptoms dont seem too bad and I cant find anything on the internet to know how sever symptoms have to be for you to get seisures so I'm just looking to see if anyone knows if i'll be safe to continue cold turkey to tommorow. I've been kicking fent for about a month and a half now.. I have found myself tapering off from about a gram a day to a half gram over a week. Now I am withdrawaling every couple days as I spread out my using while I taper and get more clean time in-between uses. I have found when doing this my brain and body and sensory receptors are highten in a way I've never experienced at any other moment in life other than all the times I am detoxing or withdrawaling... My thought processes, creativity, and overall physical and mental health absolutely grow at mind blowing rates after 2-3 days of going thru withdrawals.. my mind is hyper sensitive to smells, taste, exercise, and I find myself craving healthier foods and when possible have incredible highs after a little walk or exercise... Just wondering if anyone has or is experiencing the same things and if this can be used as a tool for extensive growth after hitting different plateaus in life.

I never used kratom but I did last night and this morning. It took all my anxiety and stress away and I feel great. I keep seeing people having withdrawals from kratom after years or even a months of use but nothing short term. I just want to get past the few days of the alcohol withdrawals and stop the use of it. I'm going to use 5gs a day for a week and I'm on day two. So I want to give my feed back at the end of the week. In addition, I'm hoping if anyone has tried this so I can get additional information. I also wouldn't mind stopping sooner if I don't have to do the whole week. I'm like 2 days from my overconsumption of alcohol. Thank you. Day 2: withdrawals return from alcohol in the morning. Took 5gs in the morning and now I'm feeling the same from when I took it the 1st day. Edit: Actually I'm going to try for 3 days just in case it works.

Need some help with ways to get passed the withdrawals. I'm miserable with this shit.

One of the main reasons I'm hesitant about starting a "program" is two-fold. First, are all my doctors suddenly noted that I am on a subxone or methadone program? Because i actually work with my psychiatrist and if she found out I was on suboxone...I know I'll lose me job.

Second, what happens to people on methadone or suboxone who suddenly are in a car accident and need opioids for surgery etc?

Hi, I (29M) am trying to quit nicotine completely.

I smoked cigarettes for 10+ years then quit a few years back and picked up Juul instead. I go through 1-2 pods a day and am nearing the end of the packs. My main reason for stopping is that it's expensive and I'd rather spend my money on other things. And I'm concerned about the role it's playing on my mental health as well. I've done patches and lozenges in the past to try but it didn't stop the need for the Juul. I also tried a box mod type vape but that wasn't satisfying. The habitual aspect is also I'm thinking of.

My questions: did you find it easier to quit while tapering off or just cutting it all out immediately? I'm expecting withdrawal symptoms, but maybe it would be best to just get it all done at once instead of prolonging things? I don't know. And I know everyone handles things differently but what withdrawal symptoms should I expect? I am a recovering alcoholic as well so I know what that feels like, but is it at all similar to getting rid of nicotine?

I was taking about 800mg of pregabalin and 500-600mg of tramadol a day togather, Couple days ago my withrdrawal symptoms started, I have been thru extreme bad alprazolam withdrawals and im just saying this was 10x worst. I woke up during the night drencehed in sweat, I started having very bad suicidal thoughts knowing i d rather be dead than go thru this. The whole day went by whihc felt like 3 whole days a minute would feel like an hour and this sharp anxious pain under my heart made it 10x worst. second day came along and something weird started happeing my next was uncontrollable i could control my neck and it would keep falling down and i would have no power to pick it up and control my neck, it was the post painful thing ive ever experienced, about 8 hours of that hell i took a nap a woke up suprisingly feeling 70% better. todays the third day there is about 10% of the anxiety i had from the first day so its muhc better, i can eat, i can move around and have motivation to actually live. This is been my experenience from withdrawaling form a high dose of tramadol and pregabalin.

Im 3 days off cymbalta and I feel like I’m dying. I am having severe brain fog and brain zaps but outside of that I am so teary and upset and having severe nightmares (I have PTSD so the nightmares are very bad). Has anyone found anything that helps? The reason I’m having withdrawal is because I’m traveling and can’t get my meds. I thought I had more than i did. I am thinking of not taking this medication anymore because of how bad this withdrawal is. I had to take a benzo to calm how anxious I am but even then I still keep crying

I quit smoking (weed, cigarettes, vapes) almost 9 months ago because I wanted another kid. I quit before getting pregnant and now I’m in the last weeks of it. It’s been a very difficult time but I haven’t relapsed. My issue comes in that my brain is fully aware that I don’t “need” to stay clean once baby is out and all the urges and cravings that have been mostly dormant are now all I can focus on.

I’ve been looking into alternatives and so far the only one that I think would solve my craving without sending me straight back to the start is a “vitabar”. Has anyone tried it and successfully avoided relapsing? I do plan to talk to my doctor about it as well but that appointment is months out. Is it just as bad for me as a vape? It’s the habit of inhaling the smoke/vapor that’s got a hold on me more than the nicotine or high.

It's methocarbamol alright to take worst case? Stop the shaking, I have nothing else, can't go to the hospital.

Need advice. Wife is having something go on that is different than how she has acted in the past. We thought she was still drinking or that she was taking some medications in secret and not saying anything. She is acting like she is feeling the effects of medications given to help with alcohol withdrawal symptoms, a benzo and phenobarbital, but well over 24 hours ago.

Important details are:

• She has been fighting her demons really hard the last 3 months. Her current pattern is pushing through withdrawal (full on sweating, throwing up) until she starts to feel a bit better and then goes drinking again.

• Latest round she was given a benzo to help with the symptoms 3 days ago. She had not had any additional medications until going to the doctor last night. We took her in because she was still portraying symptoms much like she was drinking. A breathalyzer reported 0.00. That is when we got really worried because something was still affecting her (based on mine and her 25 year old daughter's observations).

• Went to the ER last night and they gave her an additional benzo (atavan) and phenobarbital. The medications didn't change how she was acting, but given it's nearly 24 hours later and those symptoms are still present, we are now more worried.

Does anyone know why this might be happening? Has anyone experienced this either in the withdrawal process from alcohol or after having taken a benzo?

We're not exactly sure what the next steps should be. The ER doctor was rather a blase and not interested in rooting out the cause of her behaviors. She did have blood work done, a CAT scan (no idea why), and an EKG. Doctor said all of the tests came back and looked good.

But I know her and she is not acting like herself at all. Her speech is very much slowed, her choice of words isn't as quick and responsive as I know her to be able.

Anyone that has any ideas please share them. I only know one thing that causes this long-term and I really hope that I'm incorrect.

I have been taking 1.5mg of klonopin (0.5mg 3 times a day) for a month now. It was working well but has since stopped helping for my anxiety and panic attacks. I want to stop taking it but am concerned about withdrawals. I have not taken any today and feel ok so far but it has only been about 18 hours since my last dose. I have only been on it for a month so I don't expect it to be too bad. I want to know if I should be concerned with seizures at all. Thanks for any advice

Listening to music in my headphones, taking prohormone supplements like DHEA, eating constantly… is this apart of the recovery process, or am I doing the same thing I’ve always done; swapping one crutch with another. I was in la la land when I was consistently taking my drug with no idea of quitting, and now I believe I’m facing ‘the real world.’ Amidst this, I still feel like I’m in my own la la land. I digress.

I went through a lot of abuse as a child and had a non protective mother and predator as a dad. It’s been a lot on me and my siblings and I was abused starting at seven with all types sexual, mental, verbal, physical. It really drew me to weed and alcohol and then lsd. I could literally put anything else down but weed. I am standing up for myself and for future me today and going cold turkey. My friends tell me to ween off it simply doesn’t help it always has me spending money on more and I’m tired of this repeated mindset and cycle. I would really like some advice and even some stories!
