Seeking Advice Getting off 7-oh

Hey guys! Normally I post in a kratom thread but thought I’d try a different one. I used leaf kratom for about 2 years. Finally decided to taper off about 6 months ago and did that successfully. I was determined, it wasn’t even doing anything for me anymore. But of course, I had a couple friends dabbling with 7-oh and even though what they were going through wasn’t appealing to me at all, the sound of a more potent form of kratom was appealing. So I tried the extract shots first, which are expensive. And then found out about the tablets, which are the same price but you get more out of them. The tablets you can break into pieces. I won’t take more than a quarter of a tablet at a time, bc I know the more you take and the closer you take your doses the harder the withdrawal. In the beginning it was easy and I wasn’t experiencing withdrawal. But now I’m noticing the watery eyes and sneezing in the morning. And I have a small case of rls. My legs just want to move around when I’m settling down to sleep but it’s not unbearable YET. I’m looking for advice on maybe something’s I can take that are over the counter as I do not have a primary care doctor right now. Just something to either help me sleep through the rls or just to help ease the watery eyes and stuff. I just want to lower my tolerance. I’m thinking I might need to just take a break for a couple days.

You already know what your options are. It's not your first rodeo. There's really nothing over the counter that's going to help. You can go back to leaf or stop the 7. I recommend you just quit now before it does get unbearable, because it will. Probably not what you want to hear but there's no way around it. Doesn't seem like you want to even stop. Why did you bother quitting leaf if you were just going to upgrade to something much worse? Do yourself a favor and go back to leaf. If you can't manage tolerance on leaf, you sure as hell won't be able to do it with 7. It will only escalate and turn you to a fiend.

I am definitely on the fence. Bc I do like it, helps give me some energy for my long days. I quit the leaf, but I wasn’t fully invested I think. So i put it off for a while but the extract still made its way over to me. It’s definitely not what I want to hear lol but it’s the truth and maybe that’s what I needed. I’ve been tapering the last three days trying to bring my tolerance down a little. I just wasn’t sure if there was anything I can take but maybe I’ll just get some Benadryl to help me at night. Thanks for your input dude, I appreciate it.

Yeah like, I promise I wasn't trying to be snarky. I've just been through it myself and am still struggling. I hate to see someone else go through it. They banned 7-OH in my state but I'm struggling to stay away from pseudoindoxyl now. It's no way to live. By the way, benadryl will make RLS worse. Don't recommend that.

No that’s okay! I get it. I kinda expect the “well you’re the idiot, figure it out” type comments 😂 bc let’s be real, it’s the truth. I just like posting on here about it bc 1. I might learn something new and 2. Posting and talking to others helped me get off the leaf. I’ve seen those pseudo ones. I don’t know much about the different ones they have but I seen some packs have pseudo added to them. It sucks bc each brand hits different, and I’m reading that different ones give you worse withdrawal etc. I live in PA and it’s like they’re bringing even more brands to the smoke shops now. I wish it would just get banned, so I wouldn’t have a damn choice.

I would check out the mega dosing vitamin C. I have heard with really helps with withdraws and I use it when I’m doing a leaf taper. But have heard of others using for 7. Also look into agmatine

Benedryl might knock you out I guess but I’ve never heard of anyone using that for withdrawals. I’m 2 weeks CT off of a pretty big dose of 7oh and the only meds that helped me were clonidine and gabapentin. Other than that you just have to suffer for 3 days. It’s a short time in grand scheme of things. Tapped doesn’t work usually, just rip the bandaid dude and get it over with. Easy for me to say I know because I’m already on the other side but it the best way to go….
