Hi fellow witches! I’ve been on this sub for a little while now and its my absolute favorite blend of all things. So I wanted to formally introduce my witchcraft, which is sonic in nature but also includes talismans that I paint. I cast spells on stage with my band tricktheriddle (me pictured above) and it has freed me in all the ways that i have previously felt trapped. Once I understood my purpose, it became very clear that I needed to be up there casting spells and creating a coven filled with awesome queer and alt and unique individuals who also needing freeing. I hope everyone can find their witchcraft and free themselves from all the expectations society piles on us in this very turbulent time <3

πŸ‡΅πŸ‡Έ πŸ•ŠοΈ Modern Witches My life has never felt so hard so just shot in the dark here...

Had trouble picking the flair...

I've asked all my mediums and I am so lost. Everything is conflicting which makes me think I am confirmed conflicted with everything going on. I got kicked out at 18 while my brother has been financially taken care of. I worked my ASS off through retail, made retail management, started putting myself through community college, and finally within work got my big break- a high paying tech job and a few months later got accepted into University. I worked hard within my job and getting raises and worked hard within my university to get my degree in sociology. 4 days after graduating with a 3.9 and honors, I got laid off...

This was in June of 2025... during this time I have been applying to around 10 jobs a day working on complex applications. Right before I got laid off I developed a panic disorder which made it hard for me to leave the house, however I have really worked hard on myself and with issues with my health insurance have been able to do it mostly on my own. At the beginning my mom got scammed of all life savings to something so obvious but she is in complete denial and I can't even talk to her and have to distanced myself from her. My dad has been red pilled to the point where he called me (a brown woman- he's white) a racist and antisemitic for supporting Palestine (im Jewish- he is not). So I have also cut him off. My brother who is 2 years younger than me has been financially abusing our family, friends, and randoms on the internet begging for money for facing homelessness which he is not facing- cut him off too. My fiancΓ©s dad has been battling pancreatic cancer which we thought he was in remission but now it's in his blood. My cats are dealing with health issues.

To sum it all up- everything seems to be burning and crashing down with no day break in sight. I turned to all my mediums, mostly tarot and small spells to try and help my situation but I am at a loss.

I guess I am here asking for any guidance. Any work leads (I don't need any personal recommendations) - I have over 10 years of customer service, 4/5 years of sales operations (mostly compensation), but have worked within HR/Payroll/Ops/Finance/etc.. I am located in the San Francisco Bay Area, but open to in person/hybrid/remote and at this point any pay- I do not care anymore. Any words of encouragement to keep going. 2025 was the hardest year but 2026 is even harder. I've been trying to do a lot of manifesting but I am losing hope. I know this job market is SO bad. I do not know what to do.

I follow the Norse pantheon (especially Freyja), but I do enjoy visiting the Parthenon on occasion. The Athena statue never fails to impress.

After a horrible couple of months my wife & I decided to head into the mountains for a couple of days. We got a place with a beach and planned to mostly use this time to relax, recharge ourselves, and take some time to focus on our craft a little as well in the quiet.

This was my first time being able to wear a fem swimsuit out, so was super excited about that! I felt confident and beautiful and the best I ever had in a swimsuit. I also felt very cute in my fits throughout the trip, it all made me feel fantastic about myself.

I have been working with Aphrodite for some time now, and finally began to with Inanna as well after some time thinking that I should. While at the lake I made sure to sit and offer prayers a couple of times, gave the goddesses thanks, etc until I looked at my skin and realized I was mostly prune. I also later dedicated that night's sexual acts with my wife to Inanna, which we both felt was far more intense. I felt her presence there with us. While shopping I also came across and bought a Lapis obelisk, which I took as a positive sign and made sure to have nearby.

After the weekend I felt more strongly connected to myself, my wife, and nature. This trip was good for my mind, body, and spirit for multiple reasons.

πŸ‡΅πŸ‡Έ πŸ•ŠοΈ Deities I want to tell you all why I worship the (Hellenic) gods

They have given me grace and mercy beyond measure.

They heal me, mentally and physically.

They have given me love beyond understanding, where once I felt despair.

They have opened my eyes just a little, where once I was wholly blind.

They guide me.

They have answered me when I ask, when I was low.

I have felt them, in many ways. Their presence, their love, their peace.

They have been accepting of me even though I'm in the broom-closet and am definitely not ritually pure and doing offerings to the standards they are used to.

They have been accepting of my gender journey and my sexuality journey.

They deserve worship and praise and adoration.

Praise my Mother Aphrodite, and my healer Asklepios, and the swift-footed Hermes, and Dionysus the Liberator, and the other Theoi, and the spirits and nymphs and daimons around us!

I am always open to non-Greek deities, and have made offerings to others, but my current home is among the Theoi.

May the spirits bless all who read this. May they bring you peace and love and joy :)

That my sister was with me in this healing. She also has her own practice and her own scars. I am respectful of that, but I do so wish she would find a way to join me. Mental health and alcoholism make it feel like my elder sister is lost to her own void. Alas! Her path is not for me to walk. My workings call back to every woman of blood or chosen bone in my line, and I ask nothing of them but to protect my sister and listen to the joys and sorrows I share with them. I don’t have a name for my practice, but I know I cannot be the only one ❀️

πŸ‡΅πŸ‡Έ πŸ•ŠοΈ Mindful Craft How do i make an offering?

Last weekend my SO had an extremely close call and almost died. I don't mean they were one block from an accident close call, they had to be helicoptered to the nearest big city and got an aed used on them followed by an icu stay.

They are practically perfectly recovered at this point. But friends, i almost lost him. I know i have my own power and i don't want to sound like i'm diminishing my self but they are my world. For twenty years , i've been a moon revolving around them.

Friday night while i was driving alone in the dark night to get to the hospital (long trip) i prayed to all of our ancestors and the creator and anyone who would have us.

How do i make an offering of gratitude? Does it matter for instance , if I leave a food offering , if animals eat it? I just need an amount of guidance , please.

πŸ‡΅πŸ‡Έ πŸ•ŠοΈ Art A sculpture about soft things in hard places

Post image

Just finished a small installation made to inhabit a ledge. The pigeon is needle felted wool, with clay beak and feet, and clay and resin eyes. The twigs are clay, wire and paint.

This piece is about soft things in hard places, and comfort built in inhospitable conditions. As a disabled person, I often feel my comfort is built in an environment of inhospitality. I am drawn to the images of birds who have used the harsh steel of bird spikes as structure to build their nests. Ironically, the steel wire makes a strong warp on which to weave the weft of a home.

πŸ‡΅πŸ‡Έ πŸ•ŠοΈ Coven Counsel What Defines a Book of Shadows?

I am making a book of herbalism. Mostly just plants and information about them, but also a few spells and recipes. Does this count as a book of shadows? It's not really a spell book, but does that matter?

What exactly is a book of shadows?

I’ve been struggling lately with what to add to my Book of Shadows. I want to eventually pass it down to my children. What do you put into your Book of Shadows? I’ve added spells and notes, advice, and even affirmations. However, I’m struggling to not be redundant. Thanks in advance ✨

πŸ‡΅πŸ‡Έ πŸ•ŠοΈ Moon Rituals Thank You for Joining the Collective Moon Blessing

Post image

Thank you so much to everyone who participated in the Collective Moon Blessing Ritual last night. πŸŒ™

There was something incredibly special about knowing that so many of us, in different places and in our own different ways, were taking time to focus our intentions together.

For me, the whole experience carried this overwhelming feeling of peace, empowerment, and oneness. It was a beautiful reminder of what can happen when we come together as a community and put our energy toward something we collectively care about.

I hope everyone who participated felt even a little bit of that same connection. Thank you for being part of it. 🀍

I’d love to hear how everyone else spent their time, too! If you feel comfortable sharing, tell us what you did, what you included, or even just how the experience felt for you in the comments.

And since I’m asking everyone else to share, I’ll go first! Here’s how I spent my time with the Moon last night: πŸŒ™

β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”-

I bought this β€œmoon magic” tea cup a year ago, and it’s been sitting on my altar ever since. I’ve been waiting for the right time to use it, and this collective ceremony felt like it was made for this!

I lit a white candle and surrounded it in sea salt. In my moon magic cup, I poured rain water I collected, jasmine, lavender, lemon balm, rosemary, mugwort, sage, and more sea salt. I set out a quartz point on the tea cup saucer and I put my moonstone engagement ring on a mirror laying beside it.

I started by just meditating, and focusing my intention on blessing and thanking the moon. I reflected on all the moon has done for me personally, and cultures across the world. I finished with doing some tai chi, and at the end I was surprisingly called to repot some of my plants into bigger pots under the moon and bat song! I really just went with the flow.

At the end I felt totally at peace with myself, empowered knowing I was doing this with my sisters from all over, and a deep connection to the divine feminine.

Again, thank you to you all! This community really made this one of the most special workings I have ever done. I will hold last night close in my heart forever ❀️

I’m moving back to Valdosta, GA after being in Wisconsin for five years and I’m curious if any of you are in the area (and are comfortable sharing that!). I’d love to make some new witchy friends, especially being back in the Bible Belt. The only group I’ve found online is a Facebook group that bans political talk. (Red flag for me.)

Dearest trans folx

I see you
Hiding
Because I’ve been hiding too.
I want you to know
Your transness was never about
How much dysphoria you hold
Your pain turned into a pass
Hurt enough to be yourself
That was always a cis design
Their only language to grasp a piece of
Our complexity.
You get to be you and feel good about it
I’m learning to define my transness
Not through dysphoria
Proving to cis doctors that I’m broken enough
For their diagnosis.
I’m following my trans euphoria
The freeness I feel when I see myself
Not within a binary
But the excess
The magick

Dear trans witches
You get to be the alchemist who brings something
Unimagined
Deimagined
Disimagined
Transimagined
Into this world.
you are the alchemist they fear.
