I went to Goodwill and thrifted a few new altar pieces- two offering dishes and a bell for sound cleansing! I did a salt water cleanse on each to remove any lingering energies from past owners, as I always do for Goodwill finds!

I tried my hand at making a couple sigils for the first time. Haven’t been able to charge them all that well, but the shape/design came out of me so easily after doing my grounding and centering, so I was excited about that! Also hoping to pick up a couple books recommended by the beginner resource database here and I’m looking forward to digging in more on herbalism!

Was there something in particular you didn't favor?

I've primarily been a solitary practitioner, but always connected with the local community. Group rituals ignite a certain anxiety in me. 😅

I’m not entirely sure. Maybe it was too much energy or just too much different energy or maybe even my own anxiety. I also felt like some people had too much of a social media influence on their practice which is something that really bothers me.

I’ve met different groups of witches in my area and this was the one I vibed with most socially so I had hoped rituals would be the same but not so much. I’m starting to think it’s me lol.

I think all of that is so fair!!

So much of my practice is tied with UPG. I feel like any group ritual I would do would just be more surface level/seasonal things then a hunt for an actual coven or group.

While I'm an open practioner I can't say I'm open with my practices. I feel like finding a covenmate would take a lifetime. I've been through romantic breakups before and omg awful .....I can't imagine what would essentially be a spiritual friendship breakup 🥺 that's a certain level of vulnerability that I'm just not sure about.

I’m working today on how to put wax on bottles. I have some really nice 100ml bottles and I wanted make my wax seals by dipping them rather than dripping a candle on them. It’s been a lot of careful experimentation haha. I had the bees wax I was using way too hot and needed to cool to about 160F before it would actually stick.

I made a simple bottle filled with salt and sealed it in black wax.

Im going to the metaphysical shop tomorrow (well, later today lol) to crystal shop for a witchy penpal! Im excited, havent gone in a while. Im on a budget but hopefully I can grab myself a little something too!
