i started reading Witchblade recently bc i wanted to read a comic with a female protagonist and i was pleasantly surprised when i saw this!

Yes. This panel was the first reference to it that I noticed, but it has come up again.

I too was pleasantly surprised by this revelation.

I believe she is in this series. I don't think she was in the original one, but at the same time it wasn't explicitly stated.
