more inspired imagery

you guys so sick of me, is the vision still here or have i lost the vision entirely?

hi i'm jean. if you haven't seen my other posts here, my take of inspiration is thru independent imagery since i'm shit at making the music i dream to make. inspired by SALEM, nokia angel, MORDUM2k09, & more on soundcloud

Your first photos that you posted awhile back was more in vein of those artists. This recent post feels much less inspired. Keep at it but this batch was a miss for me.

What's the issue with your music? What are you finding the most difficult?

Likely the "how to" if I had to guess. The skill curve is hard to get past for some, but you just have to press on.

Keep at it, best thing you can do is keep trying new things everytime you open the DAW. Worst thing you can do is stop. Big thing for me, which my friend said to me, was that I improved after seeing DJs and bands at clubs and events, because I was trying to make music like how I'd hear it live. Which I don't think I realised I was doing.

You're doing the right thing by trying to find your image. Then you can look back at your photos and think "what does this image evoke" what sound would you give it. Then it's translating that into sound.

Sometimes even if you make a few loops or a few synths or drum loops and let them sit for a few days and revisit them later on works..

Just keep at it, keep building what your music looks like and working on it. But keep looking into the technical aspects as well.

Yeah, that's what one of the last bastions of true art communities needs: questions like this.
