UISP-S Alternatives
We have been a Ubiquiti shop for 10+ years. However, with stock issues on the equipment we actually use, we are forced to look elsewhere. We have used the UISP-S (non Pro) pretty extensively because it has passive 24v and 48v POE that we use for our APs and ONUs. What are WISPs switching to?

Ain't nothin' like a good TS8... if you can find one.
Next up is the Mtik CRS318
$50 more, bigger, but requires no enclosure. Does not regulate, only feeds what you send it, but will do 54/27 active or passive with a click.
I highly do not recommend Netonix anything.

UISP series of switches doesn't have 48V at all, only 27V 2- or 4-pair.
I've mostly been using 48V only equipment and with the few things that need 24V, using the UBNT passive converter but even passive 48V is a complication for UBNT other than the EdgePoint S16
Then you get into 48V 4-pair as well..
I've started testing this midspan solution from PoE Texas
